[I Always Figured] So Snoop didn't really liked 2pac back then???

For some reason I always felt that Snoop didn't like Pac. I personally believed he was jealous of Pac since he was taking all the shine away from him when he was basically the flagship artist of Death row at the time.

Ironically I can understand his stance after hearing him explain the problem with Pac coming to the label.

Was he jealous or does he have a point?

I think it had more to do with the fact that Pac was an entertainer who wanted to be a gangster. I think Snoop beating the murder rap early in his career changed his perspective on how he carried himself in the streets and with the rap beefs. A rapper can't jump a certified street goon and think he won't retaliate. Sometimes you gotta leave the street shit to the goons.

Basically, Pac was running around at 25 like he was 16 or some shit. Snoop seemed to have got all that shit out of his system by then.

But Snoop Dogg came in the game with Dre dissing Eazy-E and others someone he had no real affiliation with and didn't even know.

On top of carrying Crips into the mainstream.

Sound like Snoop trying to rewrite shit.

Pac was a wild card he had talent in several categories.

Never knew which side of Pac you was gonna get. Couldn't pin down his focus.

It's cool Snoop just wanted to focus on music but 2Pac was just more ambitious than that.

Pac wasn't gonna just be known as a rapper.

Perhaps, here is 2Pac making a huge impact on the culture swiftly. 2Pac been in the game already by the time Snoop shows up. Maybe he was more so jealous of 2Pacs relationship with Dre wanting to have that same place with Dre. Snoop was young didn’t have the same status yet. Maybe a bit of jealousy but more so friendly competition from Snoop.

Nah...I don't think he was jealous....he was just a different dude, even if he was crippn'.....he was more of a pimp than a banger...both can be gangster type shit, but Snoop rolled with Magic Don Juan...so he stopped sagging, started ordering tailored suits and shit.....he was in it for the long game from the beginning...he matured....

None of them rappers on deathrow were gangster's,claiming and belonging to a gang doesn't mean you're a gangster,I've been lucky enough to have been around some so-called gangsters and none of em had a rags, talked about street stuff or were timid as some of you think that gangsters move in silence.A lot of them are dead.
The word and meaning of a gangster has been so polutited ,it doesn't mean shit any more....Roger Stone is a gangster, all he's doing is staying loyal, standing stall and putting crosshairs on judges pictures online while walking out the courtroom with a smile on his face.

2pac to me seems like a loyal dude and that's what I respect about him most of all,if he's with you he's with you and sadly that's what led to his death

I think that people fail to realize that there's a big difference between Gangsters & thugs. Gangsters are on some real tear the streets up to get money shit. Thugs are just niggas from the hood doing hood shit....we call those block niggas.....who literally post up all day everyday.

I’m not so sure he was trying to fit in, Pac just rode for his people hard and that too has consequences.
There is a Djvlad video (which I will not post) where MOB James says Pac basically pushed his way into the MOB Pirus. Pac was claiming Piru before he died fam...that's text book trying to fit in.

According to the people interviewed in this video Pac use to slap up Snoop 1:20 mark.

There was definitely tension at Deathrow and people started to click up. EDI in October 2003 said Snoop and Dogg Pound stayed to one side of Deathrow and Pac and Outlawz stayed on their side. What caused further tension was issues surrounding what they called "The Wack Room" which consisted of upcoming producers Hurt M Badd and Darryl Harper. Snoop's side wouldn't work with those producers and his camp considered them wack.

Pac with his issues with Dre and even Johnny J at the time decided to work with them. After helping make hits like Hail Mary Snoop wanted to start working with them more, but they were being more loyal to Pac since Pac was the one who gave them the time of day. There was complaints that Pac was hogging up studio time. Snoop and Pac were cordial, but there was a reason why there was no Snoop or Dogg Pound on Makaveli. EDI Mean revealed this in XXL Magazine in 2003 and said there was tension, but it wasn't anything where the two camps would come to blows. It just became click like at Deathrow.

Sounds about right as far as clicking up within the label.
I don't believe Pac was just smacking Snoop around on a constant basis though...seems too far fetched to me. Not because Snoop is some super duper gangsta but because that type of shit would have been said by more people if it was true.

Now did Pac pick on Snoop with passive aggressiveness since he was Suge's Golden boy???? Yeah maybe.

I was at the MTV Awards right before Tupac got killed in NYC. It was Suge, Eric B, Snoop & MC Hammer (who is also a big dude like Suge, I didn't know that). Snoop & Tupac side by side ain't no way Pac was slapping him up without a running start and jump. Quiet as it's kept and Nas downplays this, Nas & his crew were the only NYC rappers that barked all that rah rah shit @ Pac, Suge, Eric B, Snoop & MC Hammer . Ofcourse the place was packed with NYPD officers and Nas knows Eric B. I know Nas was flexing & the little separation beef was a good look for Nas. Nas took advantage of the situation inside radio City Music Hall but he now down plays it.

Did you just say MC Hammer was a big dude like Suge? Maybe you meant Eric B?

Here's the real Snoop was a lil upset that his shines was getting caught up in the west coast east coast shit...Suge was pushing the issue and Pac always wanted to be Puru...that why he and Suge got along so well...but The Tuff guy image was fckn with Pacs money and when he realized Suge was using him is was to late to pull away and that's when and what brought about his L...my opinion

Who in Wu-Tang busted at the cops?

Yup MC Hammer, I always thought he was a small dude when I saw his dancing vids.
I think you're mistaken fam..Hammer was never big as Suge.

This must've been in the later years, because I toured with Hammer for almost a year, and he wasn't a big or buffed dude.
