Crazy how so many hated on him. Dude has done nothing. It empower black folk
They (we) just didn't like his movies. Some people took it as far as saying his movies portrayed Blac men in a bad light. If you believe that, then, accordong to them, what you say isn't true.

Now, he bought a piece of land and turned it into a studio. That empowers HIM, not Black folk. Since he is Black, we can be proud of his Personal achievements , and since his movies are mostly Black people, he's certainly employed plenty. But that doesn't mean, people who didn't like his shit were wrong for not liking it.

All this proves is that success erased all criticism.

I've never been a fan of his shit, but I've never considered him some kind of pariah. Everyone who dissed him so hard before and are praising him now look stupid lol.

Not really crazy. Black male actors/comedians don’t want to put on a dress for roles for various reasons.

Tyler’s claim to fame was being a man wearing a dress, that’s not a role many looked up to or respected. He branched our and broadened his horizons and he then garnered the respect of those who weren’t fans before or those who looked down on him before.

Nothing really “Crazy” about it.

If you look at how many black Male actors have worn dresses that no one had a problem with it does seem somewhat hypocritical. Hell Martin, Eddie Murphy and plenty of others did it. The Shenaynay character on Martin's show was equally as ignorant as Madea but no one said anything about it. Wesley snipes did it, Ving Rhames, etc etc.

I don't like the madea character either but no one has gotten as much criticism for it as he has.

Tyler was playing a character and not trying to be gay or anything other than playing an over the top character. Anyone looking at the Medea character for more than that was looking for something that was not there.

1. MAJOR PROPS AND KUDOS

2. All of those buildings and spaces can and will be rented out for every production you can think of...not just his so its super forward-looking. Hell the whithouse building alone should pay for itself within 10 movies and tv shows considering how hollywood produces a whitehouse/president TV /Film project every 10th movie or tv show...

3. Looking forward to ALL OF THE BLACK CAST SCI-FI/THRILLER/SUPERSPY/ACTION FLICKS
THAT SPACE CAN AND SHOULD PRODUCE!!! Not just comedy/drama/chick flicks...

The thing is everyone is bitching about the quality of the films and not noticing that this dude is breaking new ground as we speak. Perry is developing what looks to be Black Hollywood South complete with sound stages and closed sets. Did some of you real the full article?? Cuz it seems many are just commenting on the excerpt and even that they half read:smh:

Between Tyler and Oprah, if they can pull this off they are literally setting up a self contained, independent production STUDIO..not COMPANY..STUDIO the difference between a company and studio is a company just does the paperwork but the actual making of the product is farmed out other facilities that have the equipment to make it. A studio has its OWN equipment and means to make the product. Lights, cameras, stages etc from preproduction to post and damn near everything in between.

For example Will Smith has a production company, Overbrook Entertainment but when he wants to make a film or tv show he has to work in conjunction with a studio and a few other production companies..heres the production credits for Will's movie Seven Pounds:

Production Companies
Columbia Pictures (presents) (A Film by Gabriele Muccino) Columbia Pictures is the actual studio with the soundstages and various departments to physically shoot the film. Which is one of the reasons its first on the credits
Relativity Media (in association with)
Overbrook Entertainment
Escape Artists

Here's the production credits for Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas

Production Companies
Tyler Perry Company, The
Tyler Perry Studios

see the difference... Now if heads would stop complaining and bitching they would see that the man is doing something thats literally unprecedented in not just Black history but AMERICAN history being the first Black man not to run a studio but to OWN a studio. Thats why Spike made up with him and all of his other critics and shit talkers should be trying to work WITH him rather than bitch and moan about how bad his films are.

Put it like this..Tyler Perry is making a move like Nino Brown and TAKING OVER THE CARTER...

NewJackCity_Snipes.jpg

Nino Brown: Yo baby, we talkin' about combinating and consolidating, that's what's up!

Kareem Akbar: You're not thinking of taking over the Carter?

Nino Brown: Yeah, we takin' over the Carter. We gon' bum rush the whole damn thing... One place to make the product. One place to collect our money..

Yep..we thought it would be Spike Lee, or the Hughes Brothers or maybe someone like Steve Mcqueen...its not. Its Tyler Perry the dude NO ONE saw coming:lol::lol:

Good for you. And there are definitely those who talked shit about him and called him a coon who are changing their tune now. That's one of the problems with weirdos slinging that word around like candy to whoever they don't like.

Ok, I don't have the drive to be this successful and responsible for this much. He is amazing, even though I dislike Madeah or whatever it's called.

There is probably a reason. There is a move to try to feminize the black male. And whites will try to promote anything that helps with this. While Obama was in office they tried to stop Africa from giving men the death penalty for raping young boys. It had become such a big problem that they start issuing out the death sentence for it. And not only did America come down on them for it and put sanctions against them. But they actually made certain threats to African countries that would not put videos in the school that America had made for them to check out. The videos seem to have some kind of hidden messages in them. Subliminal mind programming. Somebody had posted on line one of those videos and it truly promoted homosexuality. But there seem to be some kind of programming of the mind in it.
There have been white male actors that have worn dresses but not many of the popular ones.
