This was probably the most disappointing keynote I can remember. The hearing aid feature coming to the Pro 2’s was the most exciting announcement. No wonder Buffett sold so many Apple shares this year.
When RCS texting goes live with Android phones its gonna be crazy. Like I said in here before a LOT of iphone users are about to be shocked at the quality of pics and videos from Samsung and Pixel phones.
It will take a lot more than that for any iphone user to switch to android. No airdrop, a lot of the best ios apps are either not available for android or the android version has less features. etc
Oh no they're not going to switch and I wouldn't ask them to. Same way I wouldn't switch from Android to an iphone. Both groups like the phones they have for whatever personal reasons that appeals to them. However the idea with iPhone people that Android phones don't take quality pictures or quality videos it's going to be interesting to see when that portion of the narrative dies.
That narrative been died. Samsung won that battle. I can say this because I own both iPhone and Samsung.
I know I’m a little tardy to respond. My take on it isn’t so much the phone photo hardware and software but overwhelmingly the user’s ability to take pictures. I’ve seen it with family who have had pixels and Samsungs. No matter how great the cameras were, most of their pictures looked the same.
I do think iPhones have software that automatically helps people’s pictures to look better regardless of picture taking skill.
Only reason I switched back was because I don't have a MacBook. I still miss iOS but android does basically the same thing without the pretty.
Yeah I have a pixel 8a it's basically iPhone for iOS it works exactly the same way lock screen notifications by default monthly updates and backup is basically the same
But the processor is nowhere near as fast and games struggle.
But it's a great work phone for certain Google might want to try to get more corporate contracts this could be the next BlackBerry.
iPhones have plateaued, every year they add an insignificant feature to the exterior to visibly separate itself from previous generations.
People with FOMO need that.

I currently have a iPhone 11 ProMax. Battery needs to be replaced soon due to battery degradation.
Is it worth spending the money to have battery replaced at Apple store or get a new phone?

You're right they have plateaued. The iPhone is like a laptop, the form factor is the same and there isn't much that can be done to vastly change anything to blow anyone's mind anymore.
So when people complain every year that they've only added little features and functions I'm confused.
What do those people want to see different in the phone? What do they think can be done to drastically change the phone?
