Dude is in his prime now. Look at when Colin is making his speech... when he thinks the Cavs are out for the count. Fuck these TV critics, especially the ones who never played the game. LeBron's good for a few more years.

Peace,

that was peak lebron prime

That was the last time we saw him play. The last time he was on the court, he was far and away the best player on the planet. There has been absolutely nothing to indicate that anything has changed in the interim.

I think he is past his prime number years where he will put up the monster numbers he did in the past... But sometimes when you get older you get wiser, so lets see how it plays out..

Yea I think the same exact thing. I actually type what I think but didn't put it in the OP....just for talking purposes

Peace,

Yea that Lebron...

Gotcha. The otherworldly, man-among-boys who did two things in the Finals that we've never seen before (led all players in all major categories AND brought his team back from a 3-1 deficit).

Nah, I think he's good.

Race this what was originally in the OP

I've been thinking about this for a few years now. Has dude actually enter those prime years. I said yes, the last year in Miami is when I felt he got it. He still turn over the damn ball to often for me but that's just me.

Many of us attach primes years when said player is hands down the best, ain't no stopping him. The players is clear cut best at what he does. All this is true the way each of us view prime years don't have to reflect.

For me I like to connect that mind frame/set into the equation.

For basketball players I always think that year range between 28-34 when/ if healthy is when I feel we get the complete player.

Many players prime years happen before this age range(they're are the exceptions).
I'm guessing this the range when they're not faster than everyone else or can't jump higher than everyone else(this as a whole not just one single player). This is when the IQ and smarts really show.

I read an article that said, historically, and with zero exceptions, NBA players show the most noticeable decline at 32. I think Lebron is 31, soon to be 32. Don't mean they can't still be great. . .

. . . but a dropoff is around the corner.

I think he's past his prime in terms of athletecism. But as an overall player he's as good as he's ever been. Thing is he has been so much better than everyone else him losing a step isn't that noticeable. But you see it when you watch him play. He throttles it down, even at 80 percent he's still the best on the court. When he digs down and gets that extra 15-20 percent you get what you saw in the finals.

Before last year's finals, I would have said yes but after THAT FINALS, nope. He's still in it, slowing down but still in it... and I'm not a big Lbj fan either.

Pretty much that and if anyone doubt that's look at that clip in the op and thing about the results.

And see this what I luv about basketball or most logic thinking fan.

You don't have to be a fan of a player to acknowledge him.

I think he's still in his prime. The beginning of the season before last, he was playing possum. We was like, Lebron fell off because he wasn't trying.

I don't like Lebron, per se' but he's playing some of his best basketball. Is it mistake free, no. His jumper fell off. But he's still the best player in the game today.

But he could fall off a cliff this year. Who knows.:dunno:

Jordan's game was completely different the last 3 championships he won vs the first 3. His game never fell off.

I don't think he's PAST his prime, but he's had a long career already, and a lot mileage on his legs. He's not past his prime but hes definitely in the last stages of it...

Physically speaking. Lebron has peaked. There are a lotta miles on his body. He is probably 90% of his best. 90% Lebron is still at the top of the heap.

Skill wise he is better than he has ever been.

Plus he is still one of the few players in NBA history that is expected to be the NBA Finals MVP.

His defense isn't as strong and he depends on his strength getting to the basket more than speed or quickness

They need to start cutting down on his minutes. If they were smart they would try to pick up or draft another solid small forward.

They wanted to cut them minutes down but he's really wasn't down for that shit last year maybe this year if they don't get rid of Shump.
So they could run

MaCae/the rookie
Shum
Dunleavy/Jefferson
Fyre
Birdman

They're easily the best in the east. They need to cut his minutes and get him ready for the playoffs. There's no reason to try and go all out.

Right, those pre-Miami years did him no favors; he was a one man show for 7 years; even Jordan got help personnel and coaching wise after his 4th season.
