Mossad planted a quantity of highly explosive PETN material, flammable at 190°C, on the pagers’ batteries and detonated them by raising the voltage to increase temperature. UHV waves of the devices were hacked to ensure that all devices exploded at the same time.
The explosives were introduced either directly at the pager manufacturing plant or somewhere during transit to Lebanon.

Muslims countries would not buy anything made in Israel. Pakistan would not buy anything made in India.
Other countries would buy electronics parts, and assemble finished goods with them and then say the goods are made in X countries.
