if it has something like "Computrace" installed on it....(like which we did at a company i used to work at).
We installed in on all of our machines, mac and PC, in the event that a machine was stolen or compromised.
It allowed us to track it, as well as remote wipe the device. Computrace is installed in the Bios, so even if it was reimaged, it will still be there.
We could only track and remote wipe it if the device happened to get online. But if one were to stay offline the entire time, then thats the only way it could be used. But as soon as its connected to the internet, the remote wipe is triggered and u basically gotta start all over with reimaging it again....lol.
The only way around it altogether, would be to replace the motherboard.
