It's official, Rodgers to the Jets,

So they give up a 2nd a 1st and 6th for this ole ass near washed iffy muthafucka?

Jets got fleeced.
No they didn't. They basically gave up a 2nd, a 6th and possibly a 2nd round pick in next year's draft.
Even though the Jets traded this year's 1rst they got the Packers 1rst back so they're only moving back 2 spots in this year's draft from #13 to #15.

Should they have hoped that Zach Wilson got his shit together and could be dependable this year? Longterm Lamar Jackson may have been a better option but they would have had to give up more than this.

For all intents and purposes the deal is a 1st, and 2nd (the two 1's this year and 5th and 6th are essentially a wash) for a 40 year old malcontent on a insane $50/yr deal who threatens to retire every summer.

Its fucking horrible.. from a team that had ZERO leverage.

this part is DEFINATELY true.

Definitely a malcontent but one who even in an off year with receivers who gave him very little early in the season still had more than twice as many TD passes than INTs while completing 65% of his passes. He's got weapons around him who should allow him to play very well. They're going all in before they have to pay all of these young players on their roster which will start in the next year or two. In spite of no leverage this deal took months to make so the Packers did a damn good job showing that they wouldn't take just anything.

Jets still won't make it to the superbowl.

The packers won that trade.
Unless jordan love steps up big time or gb find a real good qb I see packers not making the playoffs for the next few yrs especially with the lions and Vikings improving… jets might actually get into the playoffs.. for that franchise that’s actually big

Still think they should’ve went after Lamar jackson

i wished the jets got lamar instead of rodgers but I guess they feel like rodgers will get them further than lamar would and we'll see how that goes.
