What football fans might not know is just how active “JB is in his off-camera life. Brown is a founding partner of the Washington Nationals and co-founder of the Brown Technology Group, a growing IT company recently profiled in the New York Times. He’s involved with numerous charities, hosts the NFL Players Gala featuring The JB Awards and he is the community ambassador for the AARP.
In his spare time, he is a devoted, self-described “car guy,” who finds time to cruise the streets in some cool classic vehicles that range from a “nasty” 1966 Chevy Nova, a 1941 Chevy Cabriolet to a 1963 Buick Riviera.
The common thread in his collection: “It’s becoming a bit more eclectic. Take the ’37 Ford Coupe. It’s a sturdy and unique design from the period that it represents. I’ve got the ’71 ‘Cuda that I’m going to put a Hemi in and the ’63 Riviera and the ’50 Mercury that belonged to Reggie White. Before it was more muscle when I was thinking about the Camaros and wanting it to be thumping and the whole nine yards. Maybe it’s a reflection of getting a little older, too. I like the kind of cars where I can cruise and get in, which I plan to do with the Riviera. I actually have a Z06 engine that I’m dropping in that one. I want to be able to get in a car that’s distinctive in terms of it’s styling, with a rich paint job, but one that’s comfortable with a nice sound system, one that I can get in and drive a great distance. I like drivers. I don’t want a trailer queen. I want to be able to go a bit of distance and for the car to be able to perform. Even with some of the thumpers that I have what marks them is that they are able to get on the road and travel 40 to 50 miles. Don’t get me wrong I still like my muscle cars.”
Shaking up the garage: “For me, because I’m so busy five and a half to six months out of the year during the season, I found myself not getting an opportunity to enjoy my cars. I’ve sold the ’48 Chevy Truck and a ’38 Chevy truck. I sold a ’94 Chevy Suburban that was tricked out. And I sold a 1970 project Chevelle. I also have 1941 Willys and I am selling it. It maybe has 200 miles. I’m going to hold onto the ’41 Chevy Cabriolet — I’m making it a true convertible.
Some of you dudes don't know how to just laugh. Cracking on a hairline does not diminish his stature or accomplishments.
I bet if we look yall same cats got post in Lebron hairline thread and the MJ superbaggy pants thread.
