Dudes that was just going up for Kobe yesterday avoiding this thread like the plague cuz they never liked Kobe's Black American family. His appeal is that you didn't have to feel like you were cheering for a Black family or a bunch of Black people when you celebrated Kobe. If you do a search on the board you can openly see his stanbase constantly trashing his parents and calling his mom a bitch over the years.

As a guy who's not close to either one of his parents, I get it. Sometimes you don't want to be bothered with people's bullshit. No one is above getting cut the fuck off. Not even your parents.
While some people give their parents a super duper length of leeway, I'm not one of those people. I've seen my mother only once since the Super Bowl last year when the Chiefs beat the Eagles, and that was by accident because I didn't know she was going to be at the event (actually one more time, it was at a funeral).
Sometimes it is what it is.

Most people don't come from broken homes and hate their parents. Like I said his behavior only appeals to people who hate their identity and community. Kobe would've never made it to the NBA without his daddy using his connections. Doug Collins covered Kobe as a rookie and compared him to Michael Jordan as an on air analyst which set up his brand. Collins was team mates with his dad in Philly and did him that favor.

Takes two people to work things out. Kobe had zero interest in mending that relationship with the people who gave him life.
You do know his dad had him in professional locker rooms from age 5.. training him, raising him, teaching him. He's also the ONLY reason Kobe had basketball size and athleticism. So yes, his dad is the only reason he made it to the NBA.
