He just ran a 9.87 at Prefontaine classic in Stanford recently, came in 2nd only to Coleman. He's sticking around just long enough to break Kim Collins' 40+ WR of 9.93, which was Collins' PR. He'll be 40 in 2022. No other 40-year-old has broken 10.00

They said on the broadcast that he was going to be done in 2020. Can't wait to see what happens..

Yeah he originally wanted to leave after Tokyo 2020 but if he keeps running sub 10s I can see him hanging around til 2022

Man please, I hope Coleman, Ododuru and other young sprinters do in
this shameless fraud. Usain Bolt could still be running if he was a liar,
but he quit when he could not compete anymore. This one simply takes
one more injection

I feel like Gatlin may be able to win another gold in Doha this yr with the way he's been looking lately. The vets Gatlin and Rodgers are looking good enough to keep their legs on the 4X1 team, Coleman and Lyles will probably have the other 2 legs

Very true I believe Gatlin and Coleman are the favorites but cant count out Lyles

I cant wait in two weeks for the US Outdoor championships
Especially at 200 meters with Micheal Norman and Noah Lyles and Raj Benjamin at 400 m hurdles

Who am I kidding, I also want to check out the women sprinters bubble booty meat
and coochie prints.:D

I feel like in this post Bolt era, with Blake and De Grasse not looking like they're gonna be in form, the Americans can potentially sweep the 100/200/400 again on the Mens side with some combo of Gatlin, Coleman, Lyles, Norman. 4X400 is pretty much a guarantee with Norman, Kerley and always had depth in 400. 4X100 relay should have the foot speed just depends on clean baton handoffs. Women's side is whole diff story tho, might not get any single golds in the sprints there

that was a NCAA super track, Sha'carri Richardson wasn't running nothing near a 10.75 in her pro debut any more either
why? The track is made of the same material. I saw where Sha'carri was destroyed
by Marie Jose Talou and the field in Eugene last week.

The surfaces aren't all the same, even if the material for 2 tracks are both mondo some are harder some are softer, harder track means faster for sprinters, softer tracks better for distance runners. I've ran many races as a sprinter doing both outdoor and indoor in HS and D-1 and there's definitely a difference with diff venues and tracks. That's why it's hard to compare sprinters from diff eras just like comparing athletes in other sports from diff eras, if you put these modern sprinters to run on those old dirt/cinder tracks that Bullet Bob Hayes ran on in Tokyo 1964 and wearing the cleats they had back then without starting blocks their times will be much more pedestrian. Technological advancement gives most modern athletes an advantage in most sports, boxing is probably the only sport I can think of where you can maybe compare from diff eras
