Keith Olbermann's Hour Long 'Special Comment' On Health Care Reform
Word. He really should consider dropping much of the snarkism, corny jokes, silly voice impersonation and over-the-top melodramatics more often. That had to be his best show.

I don't mind him having his own signature style. In doses it works. But sometimes it's just over-the-top and a distraction when I'm trying get at serious info.I don't think so that's what make his show appealing but that's my opinion.

He's not actually a journalist. He's more of a TV personality with a background in broadcasting (namely sports). But again, I didn't say he should abandon his style. I just think he should be less sensationalist more often. But when he's being serious it has more weight. He's a real journalist with a touch of "The Daily Show". If he went totally serious all the time, it would dilute it.

That doesn't qualify him as a journalist. That just makes him a well informed (by his staff and researchers) television personality with a background in broadcasting.Keith qualifies as a journalist. He has a degree in communications art and does research and background work (with his staff and producers of course). That's the difference between him and Hannity and Limbaugh.
On his style, he has to do something to stand out and his mix of real news with "Daily Show"/Sportcenter flourishes is his thing. The voices and sarcasm make the show.

And again, I'm not saying he should not make use of his signature style at all. I'm saying he sometimes over does it and could benefit from doing more straight forward pieces this this health care special comment more often.

Then so is Sean Hannity.Keith is a journalist
Then so is Sean Hannity.
Semantics. Keith Olbermann/MSNBC are the Ying to Sean Hannity's/FNN's Yang, b. They are eachother's liberal v neo-con doppelganger. i fucks with MSNBC over Fox News, but I'm in no way disillusioned about their clear liberal bias. I just don't knock them for it, because I often agree with their liberal bias. But that doesn't mean I won't knock them when I feel it's needed. The key word in the definition is NEWS using that word in regard to hannity is a stretch.

That's a moot question. 'Facts' have nothing to do with the definition of a journalist.OK answer me this if you fact checked countdown vs. hannity who would come out on top bias is bias but facts are facts
