Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac...once a black comedian turns to acting and does less standup, they become less funny. Once they get a taste of that good acting money, they become less hungry. Only reason Dave Chappelle has stayed funny is cuz he doesn't do acting (anymore).
I agree. He and his writers really stepped their game up on this one. This was only...and I literally mean ONLY comedy special of his that I laughed.Are there no threads on his new special?

I don't think it's like that with Kevin fam. Home was always a funny comedic actor but his stand ups were always trash (mine and a lot of other's opinion). I don't knock the brotha at all and want him to be as successful as he can be...one thing though, I will always respect how hard that brother works!!!!
I get that...comedy IS SUBJECTIVE though...obviously millions of people think he's funny...even if millions don't...
