Highly questionable “Road side safety check” looks like a scene from military boot camp
A video uploaded to Facebook Saturday paints a vivid picture of the American police state.
Over the last decade the United States has witnessed an all-out attack on the Constitution. Freedom to travel unmolested is becoming a thing of the past.
Bi-partisan support from all levels of State and Federal government wage war on your ability to remain secure in your belongings and the freedom from unreasonable search and seizure.
Remember however, that your constitutional rights still apply in these roadblock situations.
Though police are permitted to stop you briefly, they may not search you or your car unless they have probable cause that you’re under the influence or you agree to the search. As such, you are not required to answer their questions or admit to breaking the law.

The video shows the driver setting up a camera to record the interaction with law enforcement when he drives into the queue of a random checkpoint in Illinois. At about 3:3o minutes into the video, the fun begins.
“I was just stopped at an unconstitutional CHECKPOINT in DeKalb, Illinois. This was Illinois State Police conducting the unconstitutional searches. You won’t believe how this just went down! I completely forgot to ask for name and badge number because this guy scared the shit out of me. He was not aware that he was being recorded when he ripped my door open. Unbelievable! This kind of misconduct and behavior is not acceptable. This is what happens when you exercise your Constitutional Rights as a law-abiding American citizen. A man driving through an Illinois checkpoint attempted to exercise his Constitutional rights to question officers on whether he was being detained or free to go.
The first Illinois State Police officer remained calm, especially considering the driver had informed him he was being recorded from the get-go.
But a second officer who walked up to the car after the initial exchange, only to hear the man telling the cop that it was an unconstitutional stop, became so enraged that he yanked the door open and began yelling in his face.
The driver, identified as Ryan Scott by the Free Though Project, and Ryan Taylor on his Youtube channel, opted not to pursue the Constitutional debate with the second officer, realizing it would have likely landed him in jail after a beat-down.
