As the tenth anniversary of the devastation that rocked New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina approaches, President Obama and President Bush flocked to the city in show of diplomatic support. But the city’s hip-hop ambassador, Lil Wayne is prepping to do the the commanders-in-chief one better. Gifting his native town with a personalized live gesture, the rapper’s clever namesake Lil WeezyAna Fest is set to commemorate a moment many would rather forget with a night of live music.

Hitting the Champions Square stage last night (Aug. 27) for his sound check, a preview of his set reveals a barrage of renditions of his greatest hits. Though his manager Cortez Bryant was reluctant to reveal any surprises in store, he simply noted that the festival would be “good for the city.” One huge very spoiler has been divulged, however: the reunion of the Hot Boys. As Weezy ran thru fan favorites and mixtape cuts during his sound check, Mannie Fresh and Juvenile were spotted at the venue, confirming that the group would indeed take the stage together.

Lil Wayne’s Lil WeezyAna Fest is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m., and will be live streamed on TIDAL.

Yeah I saw that, people on twitter were either laughing or complaining that niggas are apple fanboys who would have cried and called it a bitch move had that been Tidal.

Does seem type petty and if this is how shit is going to be with streaming going forward that's OD corny

Lil WeezyAna Fest is back.

Lil Wayne, 2Chainz, Yo Gotti, Mystikal, Migos, Partners-N-Crime and other guest artists are scheduled to perform Saturday (Aug. 27) at Lil Weezyana Fest in New Orleans, a kind of homecoming performance for its locally born namesake. But those who won't be in the Bold Sphere Music audience at Champions Square don't have to miss the show.

Tidal, the artist-owned music streaming service, will provide an online stream of the concert, which can be viewed in the embedded window below. The stream is free for Tidal members and non-members, but donations to the Red Cross in support of victims of the Louisiana Flood of 2016 can be made through the portal.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The stream is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Until then, viewers can also re-watch the 2015 edition of Lil Weezyana Fest.

Note: The stream below, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is live video, and adult language and humor is expected.

Lil Wayne has announced his 3rd annual “Lil Weezyana Fest” that will be taking place at Champions Square’s Bold Sphere Music in his hometown New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday, August 25th at 7:00PM.

No one has been announced as of right now, but there will be special guests performing live at this year’s “Lil Weezyana Fest” that is being sponsored by Morris Bart. We saw Drake, Sqad Up, No Limit, Hot Boys, and more at the 2015 concert, as well as Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, Migos, and more at the 2016 show.

Following the success of the Hot Boysreunion during Lil Weezyana Fest, the quartet is reuniting once again.

On Thursday, Lil Weezyana Fest, in conjunction with Live Nation Urban, announced the “Hot Boys Holiday.” The concert, slated for Saturday, December 21st,will bring the classic Cash Money Recordsmagic to Houston, Texas. In addition to Lil Wayne, BG, Turk, and Juvenile, Birdman and Mannie Fresh, known collectively as Big Tymers, will be gracing the stage.

“We had to run it back, baby!” the announcement stated.

The 2024 Lil Weezyana Fest was a sold-out spectacle that sought to right the many wrongs caused by the failed Hot Boys reunion during Essence Fest back in July. During that fateful show, Wayne performed independently of his group members, with Turk not showing up at all due to an alleged dispute with Birdman. This reportedly caused Wayne to back out of the reunion as well, leaving Juvenile, BG, and Birdman to perform together. Fans expressed their disappointment online, and Wayne promised to make up for the mishap, which he had done during his own concert series. Lil Weezyana Fest reportedly brought in over $1 million in ticket sales. Now, the Hot Boys are likely to have a similar response in Texas.

“Hot Boys Holiday” will take place at the Toyota Center, with tickets going on sale Friday, November 15th.
