I've tried to convey this so much I'm sick of seeing conversation online. You can't be real if you're not dating a black woman.
Being pro black is about actions, not about who you date. We all know how hard it is to find love out here, and as a famous/rich person it's 10 times as hard. We're all out here trying to find someone who gets our weird. Wherever you find that person you're just happy to find them
100% cosign.
These folks have the mindset that you're not pro Black if your mate isn't Black.
That's like saying;
"It's hard being a Black man, in America today" has less meaning if the brother who says it has a White girlfriend...
These folks dismiss people who otherwise
should/would be their
ALLY simply because they disapprove of the race of the person he/she is involved with.
I personally know Black men and women who've
"hopped the fence" but who are wiser, better informed and more knowledgeable & outspoken on Black issues than most other Blacks.
Overcompensation?
Perhaps.
But of no less valuable or merit to my eyes....
