Mission: Impossible 7 gets the title Dead Reckoning Part 1 as Tom Cruise introduces a trailer for the action film via video at CinemaCon in Las Vegas

Tom Cruise's film Mission: Impossible 7 has landed a name.

On Thursday it was revealed at Paramount's CinemaCon in Las Vegas that the action movie will be called Mission: Impossible 7 — Dead Reckoning Part 1.

The 59-year-old action star was seen at the event in a pre-recorded message filmed on a red airplane from the South Africa set of Mission: Impossible 8 before a trailer for the sequel was shared, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Paramount has not released the video of Cruise nor the M: I 7 trailer to the general public as only the CinemaCon attendees could see it.

ission: Impossible 1 through 3 did not have their own titles but used numbers such as Mission: Impossible (1996), Mission: Impossible II (2000) and Mission: Impossible III (2006).

But the later sequels had proper titles: Ghost Protocol (2011), Rogue Nation (2015) and Fallout (2018).

Mission: Impossible 7 will hit theaters on July 14, 2023, with Mission 8 due out June 28, 2024.

In the message, Cruise - the ex of Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes - was on top of a red biplane.

Cruise has kept the Mission Impossible movies pretty damn good. He's gonna have to start letting other characters do some of the crazy shit that Ethan Hunt does though (or let the stunt men do ALL the stunts), or he's gonna be in a permanent body cast.
