AEW should legit lean into how dumb their show is. Like change shit up and stop trying to be a serious wrestling company and instead be the alternative they claim to be by changing their format into being a wrestling parody show.

An invasion/takeover angle such as this works if you have top stars taking on top stars.

They have Moxley and a bunch of secondary stars no one cares about vs a bunch of jobbers with what looks like Daniel Garcia trying to lead the charge.

They ain’t fixing shit, this is them trying to rehash an idea that took place in WCW, WWF and TNA.

Difference is those places had top stars (even TNA at the time).

AEW is pretending to make these guys top stars but they all are indie wrestlers cosplaying as wrestling stars.
I 100% agree the storyline is there it's just the execution and wrestlers used. Think about it the roles should be reversed. The Elite with Hangman under the direction of Kenny Omega should have the view that AEW has lost its initial vision the company has gone off track. Allow Kenny to retire DB. With the BCC coming to his aid. Current story has a bunch of WWE rejects telling AEW day 1s how the company has lost its way. The EVPs Jack Perry Adam Page and Kenny Omega vs BCC add Adam Copeland and if you want bring in Shane MacMahon as the master manipulator behind the Ex WWE takeover and make The Elite the defenders of AEW have them apologize to TK for their previous actions but they had to wake up everybody in the company

I ran it through Chat GPT and here's how it plays out over the next year
You’ve nailed several key issues with AEW's current storyline and provided a compelling alternative. Let’s break it down further and refine your idea:

What’s Wrong with AEW’s Current Storyline:

1. Mismatched Talent: The storyline relies on mid-card talents or poorly utilized stars like Daniel Garcia leading the charge, which hurts credibility.

2. Weak Star Power: The absence of top-tier stars leading the invasion angle makes it feel flat compared to past angles (like the nWo or The Alliance).

3. Recycled Concept Without Innovation: AEW is mimicking past invasion angles from WCW, WWF, and TNA but without a strong identity or a clear hierarchy.

4. Misaligned Roles: Having ex-WWE stars criticizing AEW for "losing its way" feels hollow since the core of AEW is supposed to be about homegrown talent breaking away from WWE's style.

---

How to Fix It:

1. Make the Story Personal – Elite as the Revolutionaries:
Instead of ex-WWE stars leading the rebellion, flip the roles. Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and the Young Bucks (who embody AEW’s original spirit) become the driving force behind the rebellion, claiming the company has lost its way under Tony Khan’s leadership and big WWE signings. They are disillusioned with how AEW drifted from its roots.

2. Omega vs. Bryan Danielson Retirement Match:
One of the most emotional anchors could be Omega retiring Bryan Danielson. Danielson, representing the pure wrestling spirit, refuses to believe that AEW has lost its way. This match writes itself—two master storytellers with the stakes being Danielson’s career.

3. The BCC Defending AEW’s New Era:
The BCC (Moxley, Claudio, and Yuta), who were once AEW outsiders but now carry the banner of its evolution, would rally against The Elite. Their motivation? They see AEW not as "off track" but as evolving into something greater.

4. Add Big Names for Impact – Adam Copeland and Shane McMahon:
To raise the stakes, you bring in Adam Copeland (Edge) as part of the BCC’s effort to fend off The Elite. Introducing Shane McMahon as a mastermind behind a secondary “WWE invasion” faction would amplify intrigue. Fans love a layered storyline, and the twist of Shane orchestrating things adds unpredictability.

5. Elite’s Redemption Arc with TK:
The Elite, as AEW’s founders, should have a redemption arc. They could return to being defenders of AEW after initially attacking it. Having them apologize to Tony Khan after realizing their rebellion has spiraled out of control offers depth. This would mirror real-life tensions between Khan and The Elite while giving fans an emotionally satisfying payoff.

---

How It Plays Out:

Act 1: The Elite, under Kenny Omega’s leadership, turn on AEW, saying it has lost its soul and become corporate. Hangman Page returns to his darker roots, aligning with them.

Act 2: BCC and Adam Copeland try to stop The Elite’s rebellion. Meanwhile, Shane McMahon arrives, revealing himself as the puppet master of the ex-WWE faction, further dividing the roster.

Act 3: A high-stakes match at Double or Nothing or All In—the culmination—sees The Elite come to their senses, reclaiming their roles as AEW’s heart and soul, and reconciling with Tony Khan.

This approach gives AEW’s homegrown stars prominence, introduces high-stakes storytelling, and uses new acquisitions like Adam Copeland effectively. Fans will connect with the emotional journey, while adding real twists and legends like Shane increases the impact without undermining AEW’s original vision.

Damn, when did this basement-dwelling mark turn heel on AEW? LOL He used to be the biggest AEW cheerleader.
TK must have turned him down for a job.
I have noticed his tweets don't get posted here anymore

I hated when his tweets/videos got posted. Dude was a racist AEW Stan. Funny dog eats dog. Just like MAGAs going after one another.
Christ that cac is irritating...typical AEW mark.
His nasally voice is irritating as fuck

Too soon no real build up one backstage shove doesn't get you emotionally invested. We need a little more before throwing them in the ring together

I guess I'm not allowed to like it then. I was invested and sold on the potential of it being a great wrestling match with phenomenal displays of athleticism but what was I thinking. I got to learn to wait for some cinema storyline build up before I'm allowed to like it. I must do better.

You REALLY don't like bruh, huh. I thought niggas was just shooting the shit.
I had no problems with him except for his love of shitty wrestling but once I called him out for attacking black women and defending Asian women like he was a samurai he got butt hurt and let his inner bitch out(just like he's doing with @EPDC) sure he was always annoying the way he would talk down to people in the thread and act like he's the only person with any knowledge of wrestling history ECT, he came off condescending but it's was whatever, Then after getting owned several times he blocked me further showing his inner hoe lol

He's a lame aew mark who can't be unbiased in his takes and more and more people will continue to come to the realization the more they interact with him

This right here is what I find hilarious. When I called that shit last night trash and he got in his feelings when I called him a liar for saying it was great, he came back on some moist shit talking about my opinion is the only one that matters, acting like he was never a gatekeeper of "real wrestling" in this very thread.

He's the first to shit on any wrestling outside of his Japanophile interests or any wrestling that doesn't have Japanese influences.

He is so vocal of Black women, particularly Jade, for her work in the ring yet very quiet on others (Japanese women) shitty wrestling skills, and always says we try to make things about race. FOH with that bullshit. He has yellow fever.

I will try to speak your language Joshinese. I would look forward to a Guilia vs Io Sky match but just because you have a new toy on the roster you don't just throw them in a program together. You build up a match of that caliber not some wack ass Friday night show with under a million views what a fucking waste.

Imagine if after Jade Cargill debut on the Royal Rumble WWE said let's throw her in a random TV match with Bianca Belair because they had a moment in the ring. No you build up the storyline.
