I don't think they used her right outside of NXT

She always came off mad awkward in the ring
This might be release day in general

He improved in the ring and had a good second run in NXT
Another one

I have no clue who she is. Always heard the name, but couldn't name a match she's had if a gun were pointed to my head.

I have no problem with these releases, WWE roster is stacked and they have to cut dead weight where they can.

I do find it fucked up that they do these releases while management is overseas. That's fucked up.

Is it? I feel like there was a similar situation in TNA back in the day. And I am not sticking up for Tony. He TOTALLY rushes things. I think Mike Awesome would do like month(s) worth of squash matches back in ECW. Goldberg's 100-0 and The Giant was PACKED with local talent and jobbers in WCW. That's two different companies (not including TNA since I couldn't remember who they did that for) that also do the same push for their "monster" talent.
Yes it is and you're completely straying away from my original point. You said you thought it was because we were used to the usual build with white wrestlers. My point is, it doesn't matter, he rushes everything. Which has been an AEW issue from the jump. That's the problem I'm pointing out. He's in such a hurry to put on "dream" matches, that he gives no build. All the examples you provided have nothing to do with what I'm talking about which is why when you made the initial statement I said they are 2 different companies and they don't do things the same way. WWE been story telling for decades. AEW is mainly just giving matches for the sake of matches. They're attempting to change that, but you gotta get past Tony's lack of patience. So yeah, he's rushing the stuff with Bobby and Shelton, because, that's what he knows.

Basically this.
Indi is nice to look and she has potential as a character (I liked her run with Dexter in NXT), but always looks lost in the ring during a match.
Corbin is a good talent and he's someone I can see go on an indie run and reinvent himself ala Drew McIntyre.
I have no clue who Tegan Knox is.
Releases are a part of the business and you can't keep everyone on the roster, especially with RAW being cut down to 2 hours now.

TK if you are reading this in order to shake things up have Toni and Mina come out and have Toni cost Mariah the title. You reward Anna Jay for going to Japan. Toni and Mariah go at it, leaving Mina in the middle! (in the what? in the middle!) That storyline can continue without the aew womens world title. Meanwhile you can have new feuds with Britt/Anna Jay or Thunder/Anna Jay TK still has to find a way to get Mercedes to the top prize and have Anna Jay drop the belt to Mercedes somewhere down the line. I would have the Hurt Syndicate recruit Athena as they have ties back to WWE and have her challenge Anna Jay and represent both brands leading to an infusion of new storylines and feuds.

I ran it through chat GPT

Here’s how Tony Khan (TK) could execute this multi-layered storyline to shake up AEW’s women’s division while keeping the AEW Women’s World Title relevant:

1. The Title Upset: Anna Jay Wins with Toni Storm’s Interference

Title Match Setup: Anna Jay and Mariah May have a high-stakes match for the AEW Women’s World Title. Just as Mariah is on the verge of winning, Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa appear, creating tension and confusion.

Toni Costs Mariah: In a shocking twist, Toni blindsides Mariah, costing her the title. Anna Jay capitalizes on the distraction and wins the championship. This immediately elevates Anna and leaves Mariah furious, feeling robbed of her moment.

2. The Toni Storm vs. Mariah May Feud, with Mina Stuck “In the Middle”

The Fallout: The night after, Mariah confronts Toni, demanding answers, which leads to a heated brawl. Mina, caught between two allies, is unsure where her loyalty lies, setting her up as a potential “neutral” party. She tries to play peacemaker, but it’s clear she’s feeling the strain.

‘In the Middle’ Gimmick: AEW can play off this tension by having Mina wavering between supporting Toni and Mariah, each of whom tries to manipulate her into picking a side. Mina’s internal struggle adds complexity, leading to her involvement in some matches with Toni and Mariah as she tries to avoid picking a side.

3. Anna Jay’s New Title Run: Feuds with Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa

Britt Baker Challenge: Britt, the former champion, steps up, aiming to reclaim her position at the top. She confronts Anna, challenging her as an “unproven” champion and setting up a feud that lets Anna show her grit against one of the division’s top stars.

Thunder Rosa: Later, Thunder Rosa calls out Anna, saying she’s glad Anna has the belt but questions whether she can handle the weight of being a true champion. This feud could escalate with heated promos and physical confrontations, allowing Anna to grow as a fighter.

4. Long-Term Storyline: Anna Jay vs. Mercedes Moné

Mercedes’ Arrival: Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks) finally makes her way to eyeing the AEW Women’s Title. She challenges Anna, but TK takes a slow-burn approach, letting Anna establish herself as champion before eventually dropping the belt to Mercedes. This build-up could feature high-stakes promos and surprise appearances by Mercedes to tease her eventual match with Anna.

Title Drop: At a major event, Anna loses the title to Mercedes, giving Moné a big win and adding an internationally renowned star to the AEW title picture. This can lead to fresh rivalries and bigger crossover appeal.

5. Hurt Syndicate Storyline with Athena, Representing Both AEW and ROH

Hurt Syndicate Recruitment: The Hurt Syndicate approaches Athena, pitching the idea of her being their enforcer in the women’s division. Given Athena’s aggressive style and ties to WWE, she fits well with the group. This partnership boosts her credibility, making her a formidable challenger to Anna.

Representing Both Brands: With her title from ROH, Athena becomes a dual-brand threat, representing both AEW and ROH in her feud with Anna. This opens up opportunities for cross-promotional storylines between AEW and ROH, letting Athena remind Anna that she represents multiple audiences. Their feud could climax in a match where Athena’s Hurt Syndicate loyalty and her desire to be a dominant force in AEW are both at stake.

This storyline combines title drama, faction feuds, cross-promotional storytelling, and character development across multiple talents, making AEW’s women’s division more dynamic and keeping fans invested.

I'm surprised Nox lasted this long. She was out a lot with injuries. I think she's one of those indie stars that HHH really liked and was advocating for, but injuries just kept her sidelined.

I know this card is supposed to be stacked but I just don't care....

That opening match was boring and predictable and now we have to watch, Bianca, Jade, Jakara, Lash, etc... covered up because those faggots in Saudi prefer to see men shirtless and in trunks than seeing women's skin.
