This week, it was announced that actor Emile Hirsch was joining the cast of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film about Charles Manson, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which also includes Al Pacino, Leonardo DiCaprio, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, and others. But on Friday, The Good Placeactress Jameela Jamil slammed the move, as Hirsch had been arrested for attacking a woman — one of her friends — at the Sundance Film Festival just three years ago.

“Cool,” Jamil wrote on social media. “Emile Hirsch strangled my tiny female best friend until she blacked out at a party in front of dozens of witnesses at Sundance Film Festival (and was convicted) but Tarantino just cast him in a movie.” She added, “INTENSE case of rich white male privilege eh? Cool. Cool. Cool.”

The actress’s comments stem from Hirsch’s 2015 assault of a Paramount Pictures executive at a nightclub during the Sundance Film Festival. Hirsch allegedly “blindsided” the woman, who was later identified as Dani Bernfeld, by coming up behind her, putting her in a choke hold, and throwing her on the ground. Hirsch had been drinking and said he didn’t remember the details of the attack. In August 2015, he pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanor assault.

Jamil continued that the attack left her friend with PTSD for three years. She also said the actor never paid for the woman’s treatment or apologized to her.

“Slow clap to everyone involved in this movie,” Jamil added. “So many other actors who haven’t attacked women to choose from …”

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Cast: Who's Who In Tarantino's Latest

Quentin Tarantino's latest movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is shaping up to include an impressively massive cast of characters. So, to keep up, it'll help to know who's who in the upcoming crime drama centered around the Manson family murders.

Set in 1969 Los Angeles, California, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood follows a has-been TV actor named Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as they attempt to reestablish themselves in a period in Hollywood with which they don't feel quite as familiar anymore. It just so happens that their pursuit of a second-go at fame coincides with the infamous Manson family murders - namely the murder of Roman Polanski's pregnant wife Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) and a handful of her friends in the Hollywood Hills. With a full year until the movie's release, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood marks Tarantino's penultimate feature-length film until he retires from directing, so it's no wonder why he hardly skimped out on assembling an all-star cast.

From veteran Tarantino actors who have worked with the director a number of times over the years to complete newcomers in the Tarantino universe, the call sheet for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood definitely benefits from a once-over from fans excited to see what the two-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker has up his sleeves.

THE HOLLYWOOD CHARACTERS

Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton - Though Once Upon a Time in Hollywood includes real-life people and real-life scenarios, Rick Dalton is one of the few exceptions. An actor who starred in a popular Western TV series in the late '50s and early '60s called Bounty Law, Dalton is pursuing a career as a professional actor in Hollywood. Aside from the fact that he lives next door to Sharon Tate, it's unclear whether or not he'll directly tie into the Manson murders. DiCaprio previously worked with Tarantino on Django Unchained.

Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth - Dalton's friend, roommate, and former stunt double, Cliff Booth is Dalton's right-hand man on his pursuit to stardom. Whether or not he too is pursuing a return to stunt work remains to be seen, but he'll play an active role in supporting Dalton's career. Pitt previously worked with Tarantino on Inglourious Basterds, and also starred in True Romance, which Tarantino wrote.

Al Pacino as Marvin Schwarz - A fictional talent agent representing Rick Dalton, little information has been released concerning Marvin Schwarz's extended role in the movie. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will mark Pacino's first time working with Tarantino.

RELATED: SAMUEL L. JACKSON WON'T BE IN TARANTINO'S ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD
Damien Lewis as Steve McQueen - One of the most renowned actors from the 1960s from starring in movies like The Great Escape and Bullitt, Steve McQueen was friends with hairstylist Jay Sebring - one of the Manson family victims who was murdered alongside Sharon Tate. McQueen had been invited to Sharon Tate's home on the night of the murders, but was unable to attend. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will mark Lewis' first time working with Tarantino.

Luke Perry as Wayne Maunder - A TV actor who notably starred in shows like Custer, Lancer, and Chase, Wayne Maunder was fairly popular during the late '60s and early '70s. This may position him as an actor whose career Dalton might aspire to emulate, though this is not official. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will mark Perry's first time working with Tarantino.

Nicholas Hammond as Sam Wanamaker - An American-Australian actor who earned an Emmy nomination for his performance in the 1978 drama series Holocaust opposite Meryl Streep, Sam Wanamaker has no clear connection with the Manson family murders, so he will likely be tied more directly to Rick Dalton's narrative. He also starred in movies like Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Private Benjamin, and Raw Deal opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will mark Nicholas Hammond's first time working with Tarantino.

Scoot McNairy as Business Bob Gilbert - A fictional actor who stars in a fictional Western TV series set within Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, there are very few details surrounding Business Bob Gilbert's role in the movie. That said, he will likely have a direct connection with Rick Dalton, given that they both starred in Western TV shows - if not the same one. This will mark McNairy's first time working with Tarantino.

THE MANSON FAMILY, VICTIMS, AND AFFILIATES

Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate - An American actress, model, and former wife of Academy Award-winning director Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate was murdered by members of the Manson family and remains the victim with whom Charles Manson is most associated. Tate was eight-and-a-half months pregnant upon the time of her death, and what's more, she was not Manson's intended victim. She just so happened to be residing in the former home of music producer Terry Melcher who refused to sign Manson to his label. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will mark Robbie's first time working with Tarantino.

Dakota Fanning as Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme - Though Lynette Fromme was not present during the Manson/Tate murders, she still played an integral role within the Manson family. Not only did she live with Charles Manson, she was sent to life in prison for an assassination attempt on US President Gerald Ford six years after the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This will mark Fanning's first time working with Tarantino.

Emile Hirsch as Jay Sebring - A Hollywood hairstylist, Jay Sebring was close with both Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski. He and Tate dated for a period of time before she left him for Polanski, who Sebring later befriended. He was reportedly the first victim of the Manson family, and he pleaded with the home invaders to spare Tate, given that she was pregnant. Once Upon a Time will mark Hirsch's first time working with Tarantino.

Burt Reynolds as George Spahn - A partially blind rancher in Los Angeles, George Spahn rented out his ranch to the Manson family prior to the Manson/Tate murders - though he was reportedly unaware of their actions. Spahn regularly rented out his ranch to film and television studios, and productions like The Lone Ranger and Zorro, as well as some Western movies, were shot there. He offered rooms to the Manson family in exchange for labor around the ranch, and also starred in Robert Hendrickson's documentary Manson, which was shot on the ranch, and starred members of the Manson family. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will mark Reynolds' first time working with Tarantino.

UNSPECIFIED AND TBD ROLES

The rest of the cast for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood include roles that are either unspecified or TBD. The unspecified roles include Clifton Collins Jr. as Ernesto "The Mexican" Vaquero (he may have ties to the Mexican restaurant in which Sharon Tate and the other victims dined prior to their deaths, though this has not been confirmed) and Keith Jefferson as Land Pirate Keith (there are no details regarding this character, but Jefferson previously worked with Tarantino on Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight).

The TBD roles include several veteran actors in Tarantino's filmography, including Kurt Russell (who previously worked with Tarantino on Death Proof and The Hateful Eight), Tim Roth (who previously worked with Tarantino on Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Four Rooms- which Tarantino co-wrote and co-directed - and The Hateful Eight), Michael Madsen (who previously worked with Tarantino on Reservoir Dogs, both volumes of Kill Bill, and The Hateful Eight), Zoë Bell (who previously worked with Tarantino on Death Proof, Django Unchained, and The Hateful Eight), and Timothy Olyphant and James Marsden - both of whom have never before worked with Tarantino.

It's currently unclear whether or not any of the remaining actors will portray members of the Manson Family, victims of the Manson/Tate murders, or even Charles Manson himself.

‘She-Hulk’ Star Jameela Jamil Calls Out “Hostile” Viewers Who Slam the Show: “It Doesn’t Appeal to Everyone”
The actress has responded to a wide range of feedback about Disney+'s 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,' which is midway through its first season.

BY RYAN GAJEWSKI

Jameela Jamil wants fans to know that she doesn’t get angry when viewers aren’t enamored with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but she still wishes some of the critiques would be expressed differently.

The actress, who plays antagonist Titania on the Disney+ series that stars Tatiana Maslany in the title role, has engaged fans in the discourse surrounding the Marvel comedy since it launched in August. On Saturday, she posted video to Twitter of herself casually eating McDonald’s fries in character at New York City’s Times Square, adding the caption, “Waiting for the final episode of She-Hulk like …”

When a male Twitter user implied that he wasn’t waiting for the finale, Jamil responded, “lol… why are so many men so upset? Are you all ok?” The next day, she doubled down with her support of the show by tweeting, in part, that She-Hulk didn’t “stick to any old formula, and we still made it to number 1 in the ratings and we had a BLAST making it.”

On Monday, she followed that up with, “TO BE CLEAR. It is absolutely FINE if you personally don’t like She Hulk. I know it doesn’t appeal to everyone. Some people FUCKING LOVE IT. But can we all agree that you don’t need to be *so* hostile when you express your feelings *TO* me. We’re all fans, let’s talk nicely.”

When a Twitter user pushed the star to clarify what she meant by “hostile” responses, Jamil wrote, “I was told I’m a diversity hire. I was told I would never work again. I was told we should stop letting women write shows, I was told I look disgusting, I was told I would only be remembered for being shit. You tell me what is hostile?”

Last month, Jamil spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about relishing her night out in which she attended Kourtney Kardashian’s Boohoo fashion show in character and ended up at McDonald’s. “I went to the L’Officiel party,” she said. “I partied with Dixie D’Amelio. I went to Times Square, and I got on the big, iconic red staircase and posed up a storm. I went to McDonald’s, all in this couture.”

Additionally, she told THR at Comic-Con in July that, despite having previously responded to criticism regarding the wig that she wears for the character, she doesn’t begrudge Marvel fans for speaking their minds. “I’m on their side,” she said at the time. “And so I never mind any criticism or feedback.”

Jameela Jamil drops F-bomb, falls to the table in bizarre interview on The View: 'Never trust a fart'

"I'm looking at our executive producer, who looks like he's about to die," Sunny Hostin said after Jamil said "f---" on live TV, asked Sara Haines out on a date, and called herself a "serial erection killer."

Jameela Jamil just gave one of the most entertaining interviews of the year on Wednesday's episode of The View.
Joining the long-running talk show to discuss her Bad Dates podcast, the She-Hulk actress kicked off her segment with a reflection on her own history with dating.
"I am what you would call a serial erection killer," she said, to the cohosts' amusement. "I'd have my own Netflix documentary series about all the erections I've murdered."
"Is it the accent that makes them flop?" Joy Behar asked, to which Jamil responded, "No, sister, I think it's generally the personality."

Sara Haines told Jamil that she didn't believe her, and that the star was simply "self-deprecating" in the moment because she is "such a catch" in real life.

"I don't know, let's date — you'll see," Jamil said. "I'm asking you out, officially, on television."
She went on to admit that she waits "three months before I kiss or have sex with someone, so it's like The Hunger Games trying to get into my pants. It's ridiculous."
"I just don't want to see your balls until I'm ready," Jamil said, which prompted Haines to hang her head in her hands while moderator Whoopi Goldberg smirked to the audience.
"I'm looking at our executive producer, who looks like he's about to die," Sunny Hostin said as the audience laughed.
Jamil continued with some tips for the audience. "My only dating advice is never, ever — I've learned this from the podcast — never, ever trust a fart," she said. "Don't do it… It's not your friend. You think it's your friend. It's not.… It's your enemy. It becomes something else sometimes, and we just don't need to get into it because this is morning television. Don't make me say it."

The hosts pushed the conversation to a new topic, with Jamil opening up about her feelings on exercise and mental health.
"I hate exercise," she said. "I had an eating disorder for 20 years. I looked at exercise as something I just did to punish myself for eating. It was all based around my aesthetic. So when I recovered from anorexia, I didn't go near moving my body. I stayed in bed for, like, eight years pretty much. I see it as this exclusive club, this elitist place where you have to dress a certain way, and like, f---. Sorry, I apologize for my language."

Hostin again turned to the show's EP, Brian Teta.
"Do we have a shot of Brian?" Hostin said before the camera cut to Teta watching the segment.
"Now he's on the floor," Goldberg quipped.
"I apologize, children. That is very bad language," Jamil clarified just before the interview ended.
When Goldberg cut her off to go to commercial, Jamil jokingly asked, "Is it because I said the F-word?"
As the show transitioned to a break, Jamil put her head on the table and waved to the cameras for several seconds before they cut.

When The View returned, Goldberg bid the audience adieu by praising the delightful chaos.
"This was a good day," the Oscar-winning actress said. "Really interesting!"

Jameela Jamil looks back on her days as an online troll: 'I used to be an internet c‑‑t'

The "Good Place" actress said she was once "just mentally ill and lonely and insane, and so I would get online and just be a little bitch."

Jameela Jamil understands the tendencies of an internet troll — because as she herself puts it, she used to be one.

The Good Place and She-Hulk actress looked back on her days of being annoying online while appearing on the latest episode of David Tennant Does a Podcast With. Fellow actor and podcast host David Tennant asked Jamil if she was "equipped against" the "torrents of abuse" that people who speak out on the internet tend to receive. "Are you fine to let all that bounce off? Or does that get to you sometimes?" he asked Jamil, who is known for being quite outspoken on social media.

"When it comes to just standard abuse, I find rape threats very distressing because I'm a human," she replied, "but other than that, I used to be an internet troll, David. I was an internet c--t."

Jameela Jamil slams 'famous feminists' for honoring 'known bigot' Karl Lagerfeld at Met Gala

Jamil went on to say she didn't even realize it at the time, but she was on the internet "just to make fun of people and be mean." She clarified that this was in the early days of social media, when she would engage in "slut shaming" or be "a misogynst," and "didn't know anything about activism" or what the word "patriarchy" meant.

Jameela Jamil told Penn Badgley she canceled her You season 4 audition to avoid doing sex scenes

"I didn't know anything because I was just mentally ill and lonely and insane and so I would get online and just be a little bitch," Jamil said. "So I understand the mentality of someone who feels so disempowered in their own life, and they have so much rage pent up and [it] needs to go somewhere, and they can't for whatever reason express it where they are so they just think, 'Oh, this is all so dehumanized. I'm just going to spur out some s--- online and it's not really going to hurt anyone because it's just words.'"

She continued, "So I kind of get it, so it doesn't really bother me. When I see that I go, 'You're lonely or you're having a mental health crisis.'"

Tennant then asked Jamil what changed in her life to get her to stop such behavior.

"I had a nervous breakdown, and I got therapy, and I became a happier person and started living a happier life, and then boom — the urge to be a c--t went away," she admitted. "But I was one and I own that, and I understand it and I'm really glad now, kind of."

Elsewhere on the podcast, Jamil delved into her childhood struggles and how they shaped her current resilience, her mission to promote empathy and civil discourse, and her journey of using her platform to challenge societal norms and inspire change.
