Dope concept almost lost me when they mentioned bodack yellow

Yeah THAT was a stretch. I GET it but I also thought Joey was hating. I don't think you REALLY want to be complaining about SOUTHERN flows and act like Dip Set and 50 didn't jack that whole steez for a minute.

Funny part was when they mentioned party up by DMX and meth said he hated that record. They changed direction real quick

That party up record played everywhere

STILL DOES.

The 1999-2000 Los Angeles Lakers were seen singing the song’s hook after their series-clinching win over the Indiana Pacers in the 2000 NBA Finals.

The song is played at Lincoln Financial Field, at every Philadelphia Eagles home game, everytime the Philadelphia Eagles score a touchdown and is also used at Dodger Stadium, at every Los Angeles Dodgers home game, when they hit a home run and T-Mobile Park when the Seattle Mariners hit a home run as well.

Electronic Arts licensed the track for the 2003 sports video game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, where it plays as an intro.

Right…. The descend

4 classic hits after that?

99% of the industry would do ANYTHING for that type of "descent " though

And add in all the troubles DMX had?

Sadly the descent was a long time coming. I don't know if THAT was some type of benchmark, just my opinion.

Those are classic hits? You are Calling it Get it on the floor is a classic hit?

Im not slighting X’s career, i love X.
Its dark and hell is hot is like the soundtrack for my teenage years. “The Convo” can still make me shed tears till this day.
Party up was one of them songs where drunk white college kids start acting stupid too. Its probably his “biggest hit” but was also a curse IMO

So you just gotta SKIP the other 3?

I'm saying he still X after that record. Those singles were still platinum and also Def Jam was kinda dropping the ball and ready to move on.

It wasn't some huge fall off.

None of them are are my classic dmx list, but maybe i just prefer the darker side of x. I guess its subjective ,but point still remains party up became the apex of his career and it wasnt one of his better songs

This is all bullsh*t subjective bro trust

X is the legend.

It ain't my favorite X song either. But I UNDERSTAND what that record was and still is. I'm just saying I don't see an evidence it was some milestone in his career to mark the fall off. He was still making solid hits after that record.

To me it was more about real life hitting him
