You know it's bad if the shit gets cancelled before it airs
I think it has more to do with HBO not giving the fans to care about the Others(White Walkers) and that shit show of the last three seasons of Game of Thrones....I maybe wrong though....
A lot of people know this I think, but for any that don't; HBO actually canned the original GoT pilot because it was awful, but they still liked the story and concept enough to go ahead and re-film it. I'm guessing this one left even more to be desired so maybe they figured they'd put all the chips into the other one.
