damn I was gonna make this thread.

Oh well.. Props on this... I'll be back to post more elaborate stats and video footage

LOL Dirk Nowitszki power forward is an oxymoron! He's a 7'0" shooting guard.

What about his game is a shooting guard other than the fact that she can shoot the ball?

All these new Power Fowards in the NBA watched Dirk and wanted to play like that you see it in all their games

Tim Duncan
Kevin Garnett
Charles Barkley
Shawn Kemp - Not the best on the list, but my fav player of all-time

Duncan- No question. 4 rings. 2 MVPs. A winner like no other. Fundamental freak. Top 20 all time in any position.

Malone- People forget that he's number 2 on the scoring list behind Kareem with 18 seasons to Kareem's 20! Most free throws made and attempted ALL TIME. Athletic freak. Shaq MIGHT have been a tad bit stronger, and was much larger. Excellent jumper. Always finished. Two-time MVP.

Dirk- Haters want to hate because he's white, but totally changed what we thought was possible from a power forward. Was so nice, people didn't even think of him as a power forward. Handles...deadly from 3, size, fundamentals, work-ethic, he has it all when healthy. Should have 2 rings. Put Dallas on his fucking BACK and said "I ain't fucking losing to Wade again!"

Garnett- Athletic freak. Money J. Could play the 3, 4 or 5 with ease. Really a center playing PF. Defensive general. Played on shitty Timberwolves during his prime. Psychological terrorist on the floor (ask Carmelo). Will to win like few others I've ever seen. You WANT him in your locker room.

Hated keeping Barkley off this list, but I can't put him ahead of Malone, Dirk or Duncan. He could squeeze in there before Garnett, but KG's 2 rings (albeit manufactured) still edges him. Did more with less size than anyone I ever saw. Equally as competitive as KG. Really a toss up, and they aren't even the same "player" just same position.

i chose barley over Dirk.

Can't really argue with you there. Dirk has a ring and could drain the 3 consistently, but Barkley was by far superior defensively. What Barkley lacked in height, he made up for in intensity. Dirk has height, but uses it unconventionally. What Dirk did against OKC and MIA in 2011 puts him over the edge for me. He would NOT be denied.

Dirk knew he HAD TO get that ring to even be in this conversation HAD TO

I don't think it's fair but it is what it is and he got it done

Similar to Lebron leaving Cleveland and going to Miami

These dudes know they have to win titles to get that monkey off their back

Oh and Barkely is on my Mt Rushmore but he wasn't know for his let's be real

No doubt. You know they were going to shut Dirk out of ALL DISCUSSION for ANY LIST without the hardware. Never been a 7-footer quite like him, and I think it may be a while before we see another. 2011 was for the AGES though...NOBODY really gave Dallas a shot against OKC...much less MIA. That shit was ALL Dirk sprinkled with a little Jet.

Dirk should have two rings. That 2006 NBA finals was a fucking joke.

If you don't call the push off on Terry, you don't call the foul on Dirk and give the Heat the game. That ref who did time outed the NBA refs on the 2006 finals. :smh:

As a Mavs fan that shit still makes my blood boil

Still fucks with Dirk too

Anyone who watched that honestly knows we got screwed

The ref outing it was just the icing on the cake

Without looking at the numbers, I do not think of Kevin Garnett as being on Barkley's level.
