Iverson and West each played 13 years. In terms of numbers, it's close but West edges Iverson out in every category and also made it to the Finals all but four years of his career, playing in more than twice as many playoff games as Iverson.

not coming at you but I feel like player accomplishments like final appearances and playoff births can be misleading

some old timers had great runs, but how many teams were in the league (easier to make when there 8 teams in a conference), was there free agency, how did draft work (the rich get richer with regional drafts and lack of player freedom)

west is still on my list but a pause at how some of the old timers are praised simetimes

Very valid point! We can't compare Bill Russell's 11 rings to anybody today and the same goes for West's finals appearances. LeBron's eight was a much more impressive feat given the amount of competition, even considering that weak ass eastern conference he dominated.

You can make a legitimate case for AI over West. I just feel that West was so much more significant for his era whereas AI was never the top SG in the league IMO.

Mj, kobe def... Than you got a lot of dudes who are either sleepers or def need to be mention like pistol pete, ai, ray allen, Jerry west, wade.... Ray Allen was 1 of my fave college players in the 90s in fact I actually liked him more than iverson... When it comes to Pete his college career was crazy, his skill set and abilities was next level his career was juss cut short, ai was David in the world of goliath and was handing nigs their as s on a nightly basis... Wade was an athletically gifted cat that played both sides of the game that career would've prob been even more astounding if injuries didn't plague him...West is an all time great with a smooth as s jumper

Again-- The poll can only include 14 players.

"He has fans who think he should be on the list" applies to way more than 14 players.

You cannot make a list of 14 that satisfies all fans irrational/particular choices.

That's why the "other" option exists.

BGOL's 2019 Mt. Rushmore was Jordan, Bryant, Wade and West. BGOL's 2014 Mt. Rushmore was Jordan, Bryant, West and Iverson.

Wade was down in Miller/Drexler territory five years ago-- Did retirement PR benefit him similar to Nowitzki? Will Wade fade as the post-coital retirement endorphins are forgotten?

Is Iverson's five year decline evidence of fandom giving way to reality and an indicator that his legacy will diminish in the coming decades?

It seems pretty clear that Jordan and Bryant are locked in the top two slots but the rest seems unfixed.

Joe Dumars, Klay Thompson, Reggie Miller and several others shouldnt have more votes than Sam Jones PERIOD. But "shooting guard" is obviously the most popularity driven position and attracts the most casual fans because shooting is easy to identify in the game of bball. Jones is a top 50 HOFer, one of the Celtics all time leading scorers, 10x champ, and responsible for several all time clutch NBA Finals and playoff moments, hence his nickname "Mr. Clutch" . The guy who finished 3rd, Jerry West, never beat him in a series his whole career! Recency bias and tel-lie-vision is why all time greats from the 60s and 70s get ignored for lower level HOFers from recent eras.

Dudes voted for Reggie Miller. :hmm:

Clyde and Ray should have more votes than him

Hell Klay is better.

You dudes are really caught up in the hype from that New York game. He made five fuckin all star games and shouldn't even be in the hall of fame.

I picked Chuck over Wade. I remember Chuck taking a team to the finals...I remember Miami not being that good without a Shaq or Lebron

Rest was easy

This is easy to pick top 3,my number 4 is based on watching him play and he was unstoppable.
1. Jordan-He simple is better than Kobe not by a lot but he beats him in every category.
2.Kobe-Had he won against Detroit and Boston in finals he would be number 1 but he didn't and he almost choked against Boston until Artest hit the 3 that win that series.
3.D-Wade-Could do it all and was clutch as hell, taught King James how to lead a team and be a winner and not just a stats player.
4.The Iceman-Others will get overrated like Iverson and Reggie but Ice was dominant in an era when the game was tough and if u watched him play you will see his game was even better than his great stats.
