Cavs center Channing Frye is dealing with the death of another parent. Less than a month after his mother died, Frye wrote on his Instagram account Thanksgiving Day that his father has died, too.

“On a day for thanks. Be thankful for the person next to you,” Frye wrote. “My father passed away today. Y’all better love on your family.”

It’s unclear yet whether Frye will play Friday when the Cavs host the Dallas Mavericks. He is averaging 11.3 points and shooting 49 percent from 3-point range this season as one of the team’s key reserves. He missed two games last month to mourn the death of his mother.

Sad times. This is one of them cases when a significant other dies and the link that was so strong in life, that the death of one affects the survivor. His pops probably could not deal with life without her and he started going downhill fast:(. They say this happens to senior couples a lot. Condolences.

Man, you have know idea how many times I tell him that.

Moms too for having to go through a lot of post Nam stuff with him.

I'm lucky bro. That's all I can say. Lucky .

First thing I thought about was the post-nam shit. I couldn't imagine dealing with both parents death, Nam(involuntarily), and then having to come back home to neither parent and whatever else is going on.

Salute to your pops, many men haved offed themselves for much less

I kind of understand the feeling. My parents died when I was 22, (12 years ago) 3 months apart when I was in college.

I bet holmes was poppin riceheads left and damn right.

I wouldn't have given a fuck about anything.

Him not giving a fuck was the exact reason why he said he survived that jon't.

I didn't even mention his first wife left him while he was in Nam. No fucks could have not been given over there.

That's one of the things that both intrigues and scares me about marriage.

isnt it so crazy how people that have been married for a long time or live with each other die together; its like one cant function without the other....
