So, should we outlaw free exchange of commitment because we don’t like the terms?

Yes.

It happens in other predatory sectors. Pay day lenders, for instance, are outlawed in many states. A lot of their victims were sad to see them go because they didn’t understand how they were being taken advantage of.

That’s nice. Telling someone what to do freely because you don’t like it.

Yeah, I’m not a society-hating libertarian, I actually care about people living good lives and not being ripped off by the super-rich.

The irony that you don’t give a fuck what happens to people but choose niceness as your battle terrain.

:smh: Ridiculous. Folks need to learn how to cook and stop wasting money on take out. It's harder to control your salt and sugar intake when other people are cooking your food. When the local supermarkets start letting folks buy food on layaway it will make sense.

You can actually buy groceries from Doordash and Uber Eats. Not saying people won’t use the option for fast food/takeout, but sadly I believe that's the real intent.

Those apps moved away from being just for restaurants or even food awhile ago.

Holy shit… I just checked and I knew you could get 7-11 but didn’t know they had real stores like Safeway on there.

The mark-up must be insane.

This isn't new. It's the rebirth of the company store. Convince people to rely on a system of overpriced malnourishing food. When they can't afford it put their debt on a ledger that only you control.

Old man Johnson got influenza and didn't haul enough coal to pay the due on that sack of corn meal? We gonna have to add to his debt. Serves him right for not working harder.

Janine Bartlett got COVID and didn't finish enough spreadsheets to pay the due on that sack of Taco Bell? We gonna have to add to her debt. Serves her right for not working harder.

That's why we got to get back to cooking our own damn food.

$54 pre-tip for 2.25 pounds of chicken breasts, 5 Kraft Mac & cheese, 12 Hawaiian rolls, 8 20 oz Gatorade, 6 top ramen and a cantaloupe.

This is with Uber One discounts. A 15% tip is $8.15. So $62.47 total.

It’s sarcasm, not niceness. That’s the cloak you’re using, not me. To be a free society, you have to be free to be wrong and make bad judgments. That’s the best way to find out what works and what doesn’t. Your thought process on this is hateful of this society, as it strikes at the heart of this society, which is personal agency. So spare me your virtue signaling.
