With the streaming rates CONTINUING to increase and now it's actually MORE EXPENSIVE then capable is/was...
Could consumers/ subscribers STRIKE?
we seen fans organize for Chappelle. We seen then organize at work.
Could they organize AGAINST these streamers???
Good points.
One of the podcasts I listen to was saying they jumped the gun with all the streamers. Especially with the flood of them. Consumers already couldn’t keep up with all the basic and specialty cable shows. And now even when we are juggling a handful of shows at once, we are still only seeing 1 - 5% if that ... of what’s available. And like you said ... the constant rising prices = people will not choose to stay with their chosen streamers. They will just drop them and download stuff.
And consumers striking
= people cancelling en masse, I suppose.

Could we ever see that happening?
Especially in an organized way?
Imagine a social media campaign for EVERYONE to cancel MAX or Disney amon the SAME DAY?
what would happen to the stock?
Would the streamers cave in early?
Is the public even organized like that?
It would be interesting to see, that’s for sure.
I think the big problem is that many of them started off artificially low with their monthly prices. Instead of starting at $4 or 5 they should have started higher. People would have paid it even with the limited catalogue compared to Netflix. And they wouldn’t have to do the constant rate hikes like they do now. They could have made slower or smaller hikes ... at a later time.
But instead the suits are constantly trying to please their shareholders.
It’s all above my paygrade, fam.
And to be honest if the public paid attention most experts predicted the Disney super price hike day one.
I get it but it's a bad strategy
And the obvious timing with password security?
Like I said I really wonder if Subscribers could ever get their sh*t together and drop one particular service would it put the fear of God into these corporations?
