Nintendo argued in its filing that Tropic Haze was liable for the distribution of illegal copies of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, claiming that it had been pirated up to 1 million times before release.
For now there's still Ryujinx. We'll see how long they last.
Emulators allow people to mod switch games, play at higher/more consistent frame rates, have digital copies that can't be taken away by Nintendo, and consolidate their games onto one portable device like the Steam Deck.
If they would release PC versions of their games and sell them on Steam, a lot less people would be interested in emulation.
How can I save all these emulator games and play them on a big screen tv?
Come on fam, not on the main board...
I agree, Nintendo keeps the pirate ships at sea.
It doesn't matter if you're into modern games or classic games, Nintendo will keep you on the pirate ship with their shitty service.
Now as it relates to the Switch, they choose not to compete with Sony or Microsoft, so they have release the Switch underpowered to keep it cost-competitive but also causes it to age quicker and from what I've seen (I don't own a Switch) the last few releases have had less than stellar performances on native hardware.
What does Nintendo do next time? They haven't competed directly Sony and Microsoft since the GameCube era?
You right.Come on fam, not on the main board...
People are acting like this is the end of emulation.
When one pirate ship sinks, thousands more take to the sea.
