Lolz my daughters asked about this a few weeks ago, come to find out, I forgot about downloading the original Gamecube game years ago and installed in on DVDs for my Modded Wii. I was going through old discs the other day and came across it.
They have been playing it like crazy. I'll get the Switch version eventually, for now they are enjoying the original Gamecube game.

My nieces (one in college, one a HS senior) Each have their own switches. I asked them if they wanted anything recently, and they both wanted to pre-order this game. Took care of that- and since it went live, they have been doing nothing but eating, sleeping and playing.
Yeah I bought my wife a switch a year ago, and it sat there in the box for months. She opened it up, started playing Animal Crossing she been at it ever since. Takes her switch with her everywhere she goes. It's kinda cute

not going to lie i never play these types of games before but wanted to give it a chance during this quarantine and its pretty cool. give me something to play on the switch. nice calm game. i like it.
Get the regular switch. The lite cannot dock, if the controlers mess up (which they do alot) you are screwed, and it has no haptic feedback.
Its boring as shit, if you want a open world game that you can build a community get Skyrim, or Fallout 4.
