Henriette (Peggy) Cain, 74, died in April after retiring from her NYPD crossing guard post on W. 174th St. and Broadway, but she had no relatives to claim her body, officials said.

Police Officers Desmond Stafford, Kevin Murphy, Andrea Dinella and others raised money for Cain's funeral.
The neighborhood fixture was about to be put in a pauper’s grave when Police Officers Desmond Stafford, Kevin Murphy, Andrea Dinella, Danny Guzman, and Giancarlo Alia stepped in and began raising money for her funeral last month.
The kind officers also did some research and learned Cain’s parents had bought her a burial plot in New Jersey years ago.
Cops saluted Cain one last time at her funeral on Friday, officials said.
