I don't think "venting" at work specifically is gonna help. Not that I'm a big after work hang out guy but I get THAT.

VWNTING? That's what staff meetings and evaluations are for.

You will NEVER stop gossip. And I kinda disagree with the article. Cause a little office gossip can save your ass under the right circumstances

I created a term amongst the fellas at work. We call people that gossip, vent, and go on and on in meetings when everyone else wants to get off "OMAR EPPS" (In Too Deep).

We speak in code so nobody knows what we're talking about.

I find the people that engage in those activities don't have anything else in their life better than work. When you have a business, in school, or have something else going on you don't care enough to engage in office politics.

I don't vent or gossip at work and the people who do,know to stay the fuck from round me.
Matter of fact i don't really talk unless i have to and it wont be about anything of my personal life. I keep all convo surface level, when its time to “schmooze” with the people that actually matter, i make them feel real comfortable and they will start to ramble off all the things i need to know, while i just sit back smile and listen.
