I agree, this it isn't all on KD's shoulders for the Suns to win. And he won't get all the blame if they lose.

Nobody's saying that the Suns are the best team in the league so if they don't win a championship, the season won't be a failure.

Because they're not expected to win the championship this year.

I dunno about that...

But the Suns are the odds-on favorite to win the Western Conference by FanDuel and are expected to perform at a high level. With how Shamet played and the bench minutes were distributed, Suns fans were not happy with Williams Saturday.

The addition of KD raised the expectations of that team...so if they get knocked out in the 2nd round that means KD wasn't as effective as previously thought.

Which means either his leadership on the team is lacking because he's not a galvanizing force OR (this is a big or) He's just a BUSRIDER on the team??

Can't have both ways...if they win its on him and if they lose its on everyone but him.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened but I remember everybody on tv talking about the Suns being the favorite after the KD trade like he was going to another big 3.

2023 Suns NBA Championship odds: Before Kevin Durant trade

Phoenix Suns' odds to win 2023 NBA Championship+1600
Before the Suns acquired the superstar forward, they were considered a sleeper to win the NBA title at 16/1 odds (+1600) on Feb. 1. Phoenix has dealt with their share of injuries this season, especially ones to Devin Booker and Chris Paul. However, thanks to head coach Monty Williams, the Suns were able to tread water and hang around as a top-five seed in the West. Even though the Suns stayed the course without Booker and Paul, their odds to win the West were +900 (9/1).

2023 Suns NBA Championship odds: After Kevin Durant trade

Phoenix Suns' odds to win 2023 NBA Championship+450
With Durant now in the fold, the oddsmakers love the Suns to win the NBA title, as they have the second-best odds (+425) behind the Celtics (+350), who own the best record in the East. Phoenix is also the favorite to win the West (+225) over the Nuggets (+350), who have the best record in the West and are led by two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

Sounds like I need to put some money on the Suns not winning the championship.

The Golden State Warriors are going to back to a familiar lineup for Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings. After coming off the bench for the last three games, Draymond Green will return to the Warriors starting lineup.
Green has come off the bench since he was suspended for Game 3. Green has still played his regular minutes allotment as a reserve, but Steve Kerr is returning to his best defender with his regular starting group.
The winner of Game 7 will move on to face the Los Angeles Lakers in a Western Conference semifinals series starting later this week.
