Not saying it is easy but it's a disgrace to act like this guy is the 30 pt king when he barely "surpassed" Jordan's 15 year standard but he's played nearly 50% longer.
Does it matter to you that LeBron also has more on court responsibility than Jordan? Hes had to be the teams best defender, passer, rebounder and ball handler throughout his prime. While Jordan merely had to score. Does it matter that hes accomplishing these scoring feats with less shots taken than Jordan?

That's a totally different argument! I have said many times that there is a valid case for LeBron as the greatest player ever. I think that case was sealed half a decade ago though and he's not going to get any greater because he can hang around and pile up numbers.

Is he the greatest scorer ever, as some people have started saying since he passed Kareem? Hell no. And that's fine. Being the best scorer isn't everything and LeBron's mentality is certainly more conducive to winning 5-on-5 basketball than Kobe's was. (I didn't see enough of Jordan with the Bulls to say definitively for him.)

I really am not hating on LeBron, I just reject the longevity argument. That's relevant to the case for greatest career ever, which he can still build upon, but not the general GOAT conversation.

Hopefully i get a real answer here and not some bullshit, combative answer...

but...

If he's had to be all of those things on the court who's fault is that? LeBron is an amazing player but he shouldn't be doing all he's doing night in and out, ESPECIALLY at 40 years old. Again kudos to him for being able to do it but still he shouldn't have to.

No. Its the same argument.. Just a rebut to your point of contention. You discount his accomplishments based on time it took to get there. And i respond by pointing out that he did it in less attempts. Thus, not only discounting your time disparity but also contextualizing that LeBrons was done in a more time efficient and statistically efficient manner.

I dont think its a matter of fault. He did it because it was required and he was able to do so. During his prime we havent seen a player play more roles or be more dynamic. The critics like to isolate individual stats to hold against him while ignoring the totality of his impact. And even when they isolate those stats they still need to further devalue them somehow because he wins on the merits in sheer numbers as well.
