Lakers have given Bron 3 max deals in 7 seasons (4th is on the way). Drafted his son. Traded for AD when he was 34 and now an MVP candidate at age 40. Gave him a no trade clause. And you think they love Kobe more?
And the whole time this was happening he's been the league face and biggest star as a Laker. Nothing Kobe did in 20 years drew this much engagement or attention. He was never THE guy in a Laker jersey, always shared the spotlight,

It's 2025 now and they going to the playoffs. If he stays just 2 more seasons his tenure as lead dog on a contender surpasses Kobe's. That's sad!!! Kobe fans need to root for the Lakers to miss the playoffs the next 2 seasons. When Bron retires there will be only a few remaining Kobe stans acting like he was a greater Laker. I think folks are naive in thinking Kobe will ever be promoted as heavy as he was when he died. They're not going back to his legacy when Bron finally retires which some speculate might not be til 2028 at the earliest now.
Anthony Davis is still with Klutch Familia. So Bron gets a cut of his Mavs contract. MJ and Kobe never made money off team mates contracts. They just weren't that business savvy.
The 2nd Laker trade will happen before Jimmy is moved. That's how stuck the Heat are.
