We gotta make a trade to add something to this offense. It doesn't have to be a big splash but at least get a guy that is a quality shooter.
Or actually have some offensive concepts. They pretty much run pick and roll then jack up threes. Or post Sengun occaisionally.
Fred is supposed to be the vet leader, but he takes terrible shots. A lot of them. Tell Tari, he is a spot up shooter only. Every time he tries to drive, something bad happens.
Have Jabari and Jalen take midrange shots.
Stop jacking up so many damn threes.
The problem is this roster is just compiled of too many bad shooters so a better offensive scheme (which is needed) still wouldn't help.
The starting back court of Fred & Jalen both shoot 37 & 39% from the field. Jalen shoots 31% from 3 while Fred shoots 30%. I can't recall in modern history a starting back court shooting that bad. As for mid range, there was a stat that said Jalen is shooting the worst mid range of his career so having him shoot more mid range won't help.
I agree that they need to run more sets for Jabari since he's one of their better shooters.
Rockets are one of the worst shooting teams mainly because of the back court. I've made my stance clear on Jalen, he's a 6th man at best. They can't have this same starting backourt next season.
