49er fans needed this cause they were starting to be a pain in the ass. Any given Sunday your team can get dat work. Applies to every team. No matter how well your playing

Fuck em, never liked the 9ers fans, they really some annoying bitches.

Also, they should throw that damn radio in the trash like the team that they are.

I'm glad that I didn't watch that trash ass game last night because I would rather watch porn.

Damn, but I wonder who would they hire??

Didn't Flores interview for that job a few years back??

If they do fire them, they got to get that GM selection right...No success if you don't hit at that position IMO....

Man these coaching hires next year is going to be very interesting....

7 general managers Giants could hire if they terminate Joe Schoen

The New York Giants are 2-10 and are 17-28-1 since Joe Schoen took over as the general manager in 2022. They are in complete disarray at the moment and appear to be headed nowhere.
The team could possibly move on from head coach Brian Daboll and Schoen at the end of this season even though co-owner John Mara has given them a vote of confidence.
If that happens, the general manager will be hired first. They will then bring in their own coaches and staff. It will be another reboot for this floundering franchise.
Here are five candidates that the Giants could consider for their new GM.

Chiefs assistant GM Mike Borgonzi

Why not start at the top? Mike Borgonzi, a Brown graduate, has been in the Kansas City Chiefs’ front office since 2009 and has held a myriad of scouting and personnel roles over that span. He has three Super Bowl rings and would immediately put an end to the chaos at 1925 Giants Drive.
Would he take the job, is the question. Why leave the cushy confines of the Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes world for the dysfunction of East Rutherford?

Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham

The Giants will have put their best forward if they want to hire Ian Cunningham as he will have his pick of jobs it seems. He learned at the feet of two of the best 21st-century general managers: Ozzie Newsome and Howie Roseman and has been instrumental in Ryan Poles’ tenure in Chicago.
The Jets are also looking for a GM and Cunningham could be high on their list as well. Imagine having to choose between the Jets or the Giants. That situation might keep Cunningham in Chicago for another year.

Eagles assistant GM Alec Halaby

We know, the Giants already have a Howie Roseman disciple in Brandon Brown, who will also be considered for the job should it become open, but Alec Halaby has to be on the list, too.
Halaby specializes in all of the things the Giants stink at: “Player evaluation, roster management, and resource allocation, with a particular emphasis on integrating traditional and analytical methods in decision-making.”
It would be a double-whammy if they could pry Halaby away from Philly. A measure of revenge, even.

Buccaneers assistant GM John Spytek

John Spytek is Jason Licht’s right-hand man in Tampa and Licht is considered to be one of the best general managers in the business. Spydek, though, appears to be doing a lot of the heavy lifting down there the past several years and if I’m the Giants, I fly him up for an interview.
The Bucs have a knack for finding talent in both the draft and free agency. They also seem to always have depth when they need it.

Lions assistant GM Ray Agnew

If you recognize the name, the answer is yes. This is the same Ray Agnew who played defensive end for the Giants in the mid-90s. He began his front office career in 2017 with the Los Angeles Rams under general manager Les Snead and worked his way up in the personnel department and also served as the team pastor and mentor.
Agnew has been the Lions’ assistant general manager since 2021 and has built one of the NFL’s best rosters. He’s definitely worth a look.

Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown

The Giants thought enough of Brandon Brown to demote Kevin Abrams and hire him to fill the assistant general manager role after five years in Philadelphia. Brown is highly regarded and respected within the organization and has also drawn significant interest outside of East Rutherford.
Brown has a worthy resume but if co-owner John Mara is going to burn it all down and start again, would he want a holdover? Passes like that are usually only given to the aforementioned Abrams, Chris Mara, and Tim McDonnell.

Cowboys VP if Player Personnell Will McClay

USATSI_18903716.jpg

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Will McClay is a constant presence during general manager hiring cycles and 2025 promises to be no different. He has experience as a player, an assistant coach, a coordinator, a head coach, a scout, and pretty much every other football title you can imagine.
McClay has spent the past 23 years with the Dallas Cowboys, including the past eight as their vice president of player personnel. He has a remarkable resume with first-round hits and has discovered All-Pro talent like grains of sand at the beach.
Would McClay be willing to leave Dallas for the circus in New York? That’s the question.
