Report: Commanders Were 'Tired' of Trying to Get Chase Young to Play within Scheme

The Washington Commanders were reportedly frustrated with defensive end Chase Young before dealing him to the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the trade deadline this season.
According to ESPN's John Keim, the Commanders had no plans to sign Young to a long-term contract extension, and they had "grown tired of trying to get him to play within their system."
Washington selected Young with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Ohio State, and the move initially paid dividends, as he recorded 44 tackles, 7.5 sacks and four forced fumbles during his debut season en route to a Pro Bowl selection and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

If he was knocked unconscious (and he clearly was), he isn't allowed to return to the game under any circumstances.

Right, they're putting that player at risk putting him back out there after a concussion and you can't expect a player to play the same after getting K.O. But the NFL always be talking about this player safety shit but allow shit like this which isn't cool.

that aligns with a post i made recently regarding RG3. he did not have a route tree in college. didn't understand the concept. literally could not read the ENTIRE field. Kyle used to design plays for griffin, involving one side of the field (some fucked up shit)..told griffin if 1st and maybe 2nd reads were not there, to tuck it and run. The team would revert to a traditional style offense whenever Kirk Cousins was in the game. Griffin didn't like that shit one bit.
