Google wants to have all the software but wants to make niche hardware, i don't get it. Pixel is always just missing something with each model. I'm still rocking a Poco F3.

They say this version is up there with hardware, mostly featured on AI side but I always say what the hell can you do with a phone like that? Too small to stare into all day.

i went from the P3 to the P6 and hated it, traded the P6 for the P7. Went with the S22U and everything was great, but poor battery. Traded that in for the S23U and its been great. Still have the P7P but looking to sell it. I think i am gonna try Xiaomi. Pixel has gotten boring to me. But at least they are now giving 7 years of OS updates and real face unlock is back.

Copped a Pixel after Samsung (fuck you) tried to scam me with my tablet repair (long story) took some time getting used to, but the photos and video quality is awesome, a matter of fact I chuckle as some of the features the new iPhone has thinking I had that shit for almost a year now.

I might just get a Pixel 8. I have a pixel 3a and it's been great for me but it's time to upgrade.

I wouldn’t bet money they’re even making pixels by 2030

And what new features are they going to introduce that would benefit this? I don't trust it. I'm taking a break from Pixels until they introduce a major feature or features that I can't get another phone. They really need to focus on tablet and phone integration the way Samsung and Xiaomi do. there is no excuse for not having a function that allows Pixels to be used as a desktop environment similar to Dex. The ability to use apps on a Chromebook that are on your phone is great, but it needs more.

Pixels are the truth, so many folks up in here do not have a pixel or have one and don't know how to use it. Go ahead and stay with your iPhone and let us who know keep it moving with what we like. How about #teamworryaboutyourownphone.

I've saved a couple thousand by getting out of the apple eco system and fully using my pixel 7 pro, I miss nothing and am still amazed iPhone users think they are getting more for paying more... bottom line is with iOS you're not getting what you pay for, unless you think paying an extra $500-800 or more for brand recognition is worth it?

Dex is great but honestly where can you use it?

Also google messages sync to tablets and phones, and Im sure google can sync calls from tablet to phone like IOS and Samsung.

Samsung's version wasn't all that great honestly I missed texts and often had to resync to get messages on my old tablet.

IOS is easily the smoothest and works everytime.

You can use dex anywhere. An external monitor, tv, wirelessly. If you're in a hotel you can connect to the tv as well. I've been using it with Citrix for work for a while. I also use it to play Xbox.
Messages is very limited, especially if you have google fi. You can not use rcs and make calls from a PC a Chromebook while both rcs and google fi services are enabled on the PC or Chromebook. I am not sure about the pixel tablet.
I get messages and calls on my tablet simultaneously. So long as both are on the same network.
Never used iOS so I can't comment on that.

Didn't know all that about dex, I had it when I had a Samsung and didn't use it much, guess it's what you try to use it for.

Can be handy especially in hotels or something or streaming illegally.

I will go back to Samsung eventually when the money gets right, IOS is nice but I don't care much for it, however, it's solid integration for certain.

The S23FE looks good for $600

Bumping a old thread but I may go back to my pixel 8a and return this s24 ultra. I prefer pixel software by a mile.

Why? Pixels eventually get everything Samsung has.
Crazy but the software is just simple and clean and the speech to text is crazy I just say send and it sends my text.

If you ever used one for a day you'll see it. It's just a good communication device.

Not on Samsung's league with power and games and videos but does the basics damn good.

My last pixel was the 7. Got bored with it.

I want to ride with a pixel but something is always off compared to the year's competition: low battery, whack screen, pricing. I picked up a s24+ because of a recent sale, would have gotten the One Plus 12 but they curved the screen this year...

Smh, really like the pixel 9 pro and I got the S24 ultra for 700 NIB but it's quite a heavy phone and honestly the software isn't all that great.

The 9 pro is smaller and the software is just cleaner and better
