Ukraine must give up its territories to end the war with Russia, said Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance.
"The Ukrainians are going to have to make this decision... They are already too exhausted," Vance said on the News Nation television channel.
According to him, such ideas are already slipping through in conversations with Ukrainian officials, especially private ones.
"They're starting to talk about it now. They're saying this can't go on forever. They don't have the people, they don't have the guns, they don't have the money," Vance added.
The vice presidential candidate said the role of the United States is to ask Russia and Ukraine what they want and then "impose real diplomacy."
