But what is your favorite Black Movie Franchise!!! Rank Um Up, 1-5!

Rule 1: "Black" Either most characters are black, or Staring/Main/Co-Main character is Black ie "Beverly Hills Cop." It can't be there is "A" black character out of like 20 ie. "X-men"
Rule 2: Continues with black characters. Can't be "A Quiet Place" had a black character.
Rule 3: "Movie Franchise/Series" A little laxity, since there are not that many. You can also pick a Series that Started with Movie ie. "Alex Cross" and "Black Dynamite." But Must have a "Movie"
Rule 4: Movie "Series" More 1 movie! It cant be a Series of movies if there is only 1. Should have the same or related characters.

I Can repeat Friday and Next Friday almost word for word! Friday after Next not as good but still up there.

Menace, Players Club and Life! I have all those in my library. But No sequels. So can't be a movie Series/Franchise.

The USS Defiant was made for Captain Sisko in the television series and Lt. Com Worf commanded it during the events in First Contact battling the Borg. (A big screen movie). (Oh, and both characters were played by actual Black men).

And since you wanna be "nitpicky" about my Cosby show choices; then I'll just have to go with:

a film which became a Netflix series:

The characters in uptown Saturday night, let's do it again and a piece of the action are not related, but they are movies starring Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby.

They don't count as a franchise.

Also, I've never seen scream blackula scream. I never even heard of it until today

Scary movie is a franchise even if it didn't have the same people every time. I believe it counts because it started out as a Wayans project even before they sold it to white people

Couple of the ones you posted had shitty sequels that most people try to forget or don’t acknowledge.. coming to America 2 and Independence Day 2.. so that’s why I didn’t even considered them series and one and done great films.. but if they have to have at least 2 movies than I have to rethink my post

I used to watch Star Trek on TV but for some reason never watched the any of the movies, so i couldn't tell if DS9 was in a movie! You got that one. I gotta do Homework.

I see you! I forgot "Dear White People" and "She's Gotta Have It" had those series that came afterwards! Nice, I am adding those to my list for binge watching. Hopefully the series are somewhat good.
