Crews are continuing to make repairs a day after a water main break flooded East Houston Street and caused a sinkhole in front the iconic Katz's Delicatessen. CBS 2's Weijia Jiang reports.

I'll be there until next week (leaving here Thursday). I'll hit Carnegie's this time. Probably this weekend.

Below, a few native New Yorkers talk about the good and the bad old days of their home city. This is part of Routes and Culture brand's "True New Yorkers" series, where a main topic seems to be education. While people like Ad-Rock and Liev Schreiber have taken part, the best one comes from Alan Dell of Katz's Deli, who focuses a little more on the changing neighborhood:

"A lot of people from the neighborhood who moved away. I got customers talking about their million dollar penthouse on Rivington Street. It blows my mind. The Bowery was unsavory, there used to be bums, I don't even know if kids know what a bum is. Now you got a modern art museum and fine restaurants... you know, they call it progress, I'm not really sure about that. It's a mixed bag... 20 years ago we were closing early... it was not safe."

Went to Katz's for the first time tonight. You get a large sandwich at Katz's but it wasn't earth shattering. It tasted like any other pastrami that I've had before just in bigger portions. Its a big sandwich but not worth $22.29.
