Historically, the passing of Chuck Berry is up there with the passing of James Brown or Michael Jackson.
Man, I'm so sorry to hear he died alone. This man is THE architect of rock guitar as well rock and roll itself - even though much of his music qualified equally well as Blues and R&B.

Happy I got to see him as a teen at the Chicago Blues Fest in the 80s - the same year the documentary on him ("Hail, Hail Rock and Roll") came out.
Farewell to a consummate entertainer - both on and off the stage - and a phenomenal talent.
