SEE IT: Bat-wielding man hits woman, smashes car windows in road rage fit
The assailant first honked the horn of his SUV as he followed the 26-year-old woman 3.5 miles in the Glenwood neighborhood shortly before midnight Tuesday, police said.
The man jumped out of his vehicle and bashed the back window of her car, prompting the woman to get out, video shows.
The attacker swung the bat at her, striking her on the left arm before chasing her off-screen. She appears back on screen on the ground, where the attacker threw her after hitting her in the head and left hand, police said.
Stumbling to get up, the woman got back into her vehicle and struggled to close the door as the assailant swung at it.
With the car closed, the woman moved the car forward, just to have the attacker walk up and blast out all her windows.
After about two minutes, the man hopped into his getaway SUV, driven by a woman with a passenger in the backseat.
The man struck the woman on the head, arm and hand, police said.
