When you scroll down, you see the quote she attributes to Halle about Wesley isn't a direct quote. It was taken from another article and was attributed to Halle. Could've very well happened, but Halle never came out and said it did.

Berry Beaten by Snipes?
by LIA HABERMAN | Thu., Jan. 15, 2004 12:30 PM

In a startling accusation, one of Halle Berry's former beaus has pinpointed her one-time boyfriend Wesley Snipes as the man who busted her eardrum.

R&B singer Christopher Williams, who hooked up with the actress in the early '90s, says he's setting the record straight because many have assumed that he was the one to hit Berry so hard that she lost most of the hearing in her right ear. Berry has never divulged the identity her attacker.
"The stuff they wrote about [me] and Halle was totally false. They said something like I busted her eardrum, and I'm tired of it. I never said it [before] but I'm so tired of people thinking I'm the guy [who did it]. Wesley Snipes busted her eardrum, not me," Williams allegedly told entertainment site Eurweb, which bills itself as providing the "Urban/Black Entertainment 4-1-1."
Calls to Snipes' attorney and Berry's reps were not returned.

Williams also had some harsh words for his former girlfriend: "I have [men] come up to me like, 'How could you just leave Halle Berry?' I'm like, how could you just leave the last relationship you was [in]? [Halle] is just a woman, but because her name is in lights, people are damned near ready to bare their souls."
"They would probably crucify Jesus again just to get with her. It's funny because the stars that get all of the good write-ups, you go and meet them and they are total a--holes," concluded the singer.
No denying the Bond babe's had her share of bad luck with men. She recently split from her second husband, R&B singer Eric Benét, after two years of marriage. Berry was previously married to purportedly abusive baseball star David Justice from 1992 to 1996. During their acrimonious divorce, she filed for a restraining order claiming she feared for her "personal safety and well-being" around her ex.

Less volatile is Berry's relationship with the box office. The Oscar winner recently wrapped production in Toronto on Catwoman opposite Benjamin Bratt. The two are slated to reteam and shoot The Setup for director Sydney Lumet.
After that, Berry's scheduled to star in Nappily Ever After from indie helmer Patricia Cardoso (Real Women Have Curves) and Lee Tamahori's action-thriller The Guide while lending her voice to CGI 'toon Robot from director Chris Wedge (Ice Age).

That's also an interesting thing about Twitter. People just double down. Be dead wrong, but will double down. "Who gon fight me?" Um. That's an interesting take on a debate.

Again, that shit could've very well been Wesley who abused her and cause hearing damage. It's not like homie doesn't know how to whip ass. But it's interesting that she's came straight out and named other people, but hasn't with Wesley. Could be a fear thing, which wouldn't be uncommon in cases of abuse. But the article is really shade how the paragraph prior and after are direct quotes and in quotations, while the one that talks about Wesley isn't. Being bracketed by two quoted paragraphs will give the perception that that's a quote too if you don't look close enough.

christopher williams went on record years ago and said it was Snipes. Snipes never responded to the accusation as far as I know.

Former baseball star David Justice is thanking his ex Halle Berry for finally clearing his name.
Justice, who was married to Halle from 1993 to 1997, revealed earlier this week that he was still angry about rumors that he cheated on her and was so abusive he caused permanent hearing loss in her left ear.
Shortly after, the baseball star wrote on Twitter; 'I just want to thank Halle for finally squashing all of the rumors in the past, that I had physically abused her, causing the hearing loss.'

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Online earlier this week, Justice explained why he felt compelled to speak up.

'I had to say something after reading about Halle's recent marriage,' he said.

'So many years ago, I didn't say anything about the accusations that I abused her, but now I have three children, ages, 15, 13 and 11, two boys and one girl, and they can read this stuff and they have friends who will read it as well so I had to finally come out and say once and for all I never hit Halle Berry.

'Back then it didn't matter, but it's different now,' he tells Daily Mail Online. 'Halle never said I hit her but she never said I didn't either, which was disappointing.

'Let me tell you something, I was raised by a single mother and I love and respect her dearly, I would never hit a woman. Never. So, now I have said all that I am going to say on the subject,

'I am not the face of Halle Berry's exes, I won't be going on TV to talk about this. I just wanted to make sure my wife, my children and the rest of my family, friends and fans know the truth.

'But one more thing...people in Hollywood knew the truth then but no one spoke up on my behalf. Again, disappointing, but that was 20 years ago and I won't be doing anymore tweeting on the subject. I have said what I needed to say so now, I'm done.'

Justice began:

'Reading the latest Halle Berry Reports, it wasn't me who hit Halle causing the ear damage. Halle has never said that I hit her.'

A minute later he tweeted:

'It was a former Hollywood boyfriend (WS) that she told me!'.

At 6:44 p.m. Justice added:

'When she first reported that she had been in abusive relationships, she wouldn't name the 'famous' former boyfriend (WS)...'.

At 6:46 p.m. he threw this accusation at his ex:

'She was mad at me leaving the relationship so she and her Hollywood Team just tried to destroy my character. It had to be my fault, right?'.

Minutes later - Justice insinuated Halle is to blame for all of her love troubles:

'Yup...Me, Eric, Gabriel and Oliver were all her 'Knight in Shinging Armor, until it ends. Then we all become the worst guys in history.'

At 6:52 p.m.:

'Only the guys in the relationship with Halle know the real deal...there will be another, of course. He'll be called 'The Best' until it ends.'

The two minutes later - a bold warning to her soon to be third ex-husband:

'Just wait, Oliver...It's coming! She insinuated that her daughter wasn't safe around Gabriel...look it up and see the reason! Just wrong. smh'.

Justice ended outburst saying:

'It just makes me mad to still see the same lie being perpetuated about the source of her abuse being me. Never happened!'

Hours after Justice vented, Eric Benét, who was married to Halle from 2001 to 2005 tweeted his support: 'My man @23david justice is tweeting some truth dis' mornin'!'

In 1996, Justice told People Magazine that the relationship wasn't what he bargained for saying, 'she wasn't the same person I was with before we got married.'

He went on to say his wife got mad when he watched ESPN and accused him of cheating whenever she saw a picture of him with a woman who might be standing next to him.

He added that Berry carried a lot of baggage from her previous relationships and always suspicious. 'I've never known a girl who could throw a tantrum like she does.'

Berry publicly admitted that she attempted suicide after her marriage to Justice fell apart.

Justice was one of many failed relationships for the 49-year-old A-list actress.

In the late 80s she dated Chicago dentist John Ronan but was sued by him in 1993 for $80,000 after he claimed he loaned her money to help launch her career.

Berry claimed it was a gift and it was dismissed in court.

In 1991 claims of abuse surfaced after Berry revealed she lost 80% of her hearing in her left ear following a beating from a former boyfriend while she was filming 'The Last Boy Scout'.

Berry has never mentioned the abuser by name but says it was 'someone well known in Hollywood.'

Rumors that the person is Wesley Snipes, were swiftly denied by the actor.

On January 1, 1993 - Berry married Justice. They divorced four years later.

He remarried in 2001 and shares two children with his wife Rebecca Villalobos.

In 2001 after a two-year courtship, Berry tied the knot with R&B singer Eric Benet but divorced four years later after a turbulent time with Benet cheating and entering a facility for sex addiction in 2002.

Four years later, she met and began dating French Canadian model, Gabriel Aubry.

Berry and Aubry have a child together but never married.

The couple has been involved in a high profile custody battle over their daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry, 7, primarily because Berry wanted to move to France with her then current love Olivier Martinez, from Los Angeles to France.

Berry and Martinez married in France on July 13, 2013 and their son, Maceo Robert Martinez was born three months later, on October 5.

But their Hollywood romance came to a turbulent end.

The two announced last week they were divorcing after two years of marriage

In a joint statement, Halle and Martinez said: 'It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce.

'We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son.

'We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children's privacy, as we go through this difficult period.'

The marriage had reportedly hit a breaking point - they had been fighting over Martinez's January incident at LAX, where he hit airport employee Ronaldo Owens with a car seat, pushing him to the ground.

Halle and their son were also there.

A $5 million lawsuit was filed mid-October against Halle and Olivier for the attack.

Halle has not made a public statement about the claims but it is unknown if she contacted Justice personally this week.

He continued to post multiple tweets explaining why her admission was so important, adding; 'She could've squashed them at that time.I have 3 kids and a wife for 15 years. It was important that my kids knew that their dad didn't do.'
He then closed by writing; 'My mom didn't raise me that way. Now,I'll go back into my little small place on this earth and be quiet....Peace!'

So, since these fools were out in the clear for this, they decide to name names when Halle hasn’t. That’s some bitch made shit. If he did hit her then that’s mad foul, but to out that shit without her consent to do so is bitch shit on Justice’s part.

I see your point. However, they were getting killed in the media because everyone was making assumptions. Halle not outing her abuser is unstandable. What's not understandable, is sitting quietly while the innocent parties are getting destroyed by the media. All she had to say was that it wasn't David, Chris, or Eric (I don't think Eric was ever a part of that conversation).

She did come out eventually and said David was not the one, but that was only after the rumor had been out there for awhile.

It is interesting that Chris was so quick to out Snipes (maybe he was mad about the pretty motherfucker comment from New Jack City). I don't think Justice ever said it was Snipes, just that he wasn't the one that hit her.

As far as I know, Snipes is the only person to never go on record and say he never abused her. Everyone else has.
