My dad told me when i was a kid we got it backwards. We should be crying when a newl life comes into this world because of the hardships that person will face and we should be celebrating when s love done dies because their problems are over
Well the past several yrs people have flipped the term of mourning someone’s death and celebrating their life.. this seems to follow suit… still the best shit is them dancing burial dudes who be dancing with the coffin from Africa
That’s traditional Ghanaian culture. A funeral is a celebration of the deceased person’s life with friends and family. Yes we shed tears and mourn upon the initial death but afterwards we celebrate their lives. It’s just that this generation has added some of the got and glamour of the West into it.
