During the so called war on drugs that is still going on, special forces trained both Mexican and South American soldiers gave them all type of weapons (still do) to fight the cartels the problem is most of those train were or became cartel soldiers. They have billions of dollars to bribe politician, police and buy the world's best mercs to train their people and fight for them. We couldn't beat gorilla warfare in the desert we definitely will lose one in a jungle.
