“He’s hit the wall,” the AFC executive said. “I think he has. I think it’s done or close to it. He’ll have a couple of games here and there where he shows up, but big picture, long term, I think it’s done.”

He is too close to the end of his career to waist it in talentless Buffalo. Its sad he will get all the blame.

I agree BUT,

Unfortunately for him no other team will take a chance on him.

He'd better get rolling or the much younger Randy Moss is gonna not only pass him for 2nd Place in career TDs (just one away) but also for 5th in Receiving Yards (about 650 away), while seriously narrowing the gap in Receptions (about 80 away).

6. James Lofton 14,004
7. Cris Carter 13,899
8. Henry Ellard 13,777
9. Randy Moss 13,697
10. Andre Reed 13,198

dont get me wrong,I like the direction my cowboys are heading right now, but i could only imagine how much more explosive we could be if we kept owens, he had his best years in dallas, reguardless of what the haters say, he would have made us fucking nightmare for defensive coordinators, but we still a good team and good offense

Unfortunately, he would've been MORE of a "nightmare" for his own team. He wore out his welcome, as usual.

While there are multiple explanations for the falloff in production, some observers believe Terrell Owens has "hit a wall."

It happens to WR and RB quickly, quicker then any other positions. Not sure if it's true or if its the team but i wouldnt be surprised if its him

he will go down forever now as just another athlete who let fame and fortune get in the way of his on the field production...

Joey Galloway (age 37) hit a brick wall with New England this year. Had a great opportunity to be the third receiver on a contender but totally fell flat. Playing sparingly last year must've killed his mojo. (Just two years ago he caught 57 passes for over 1,000 yards.)

That receivers of a certain age can lose it very quickly and without an obvious explanation (even when put into can't-miss situations).

I see, but NE was hardly a can't miss situation. QB coming of injury, and he is the 3rd maybe 4th option it was an experiment went wrong. Galloway lost 2 years ago

T.O. has some more left in the tank if he grows up and realizes he must work to be dominant in the game. There is no coincidence he is under performing this year look at his off-season behavior. People get better or maintain Excellency at what they do due to hard work. My man spent the better part of this summer running around with a bunch of chicks partying and "living large." Instead he could have been somewhere TRAINING and WORKING HARD in an effort to maintain his explosiveness, cut speed, and catching ability. Homeboy thought he would stay nice forever.... he was sadly mistaken. When you age in the NFL you have to work harder in the offseason to hang tough with the young guys, experience will only get you so far. Look at ray lewis he is making plays like he never lost a step. He is noticeably slower than previous years due to age however he still has the physical and mental ability to play at a high level. Trust that didn't come by chillin in L.A. partying and doing a 15- 30 min workout in the pool every day.

This is the first time in his career that T.O. has had a sub-standard QB. He has went from Young to Garcia to McNabb to Romo. neither one of those QB's are bums. Trent Edwards...bum. You dig? The biggest gamble for him was going to a team with a below average QB. He may as well had gone to Cleveland.

honestly, I'm starting to think he might fuck around, and be back in Dallas next year. I know it's a long shot, but he loved being here. Hell, Tony was struggling trying to adjust to the speed of his receivers *its actually harder to jam our receivers now*. I think T.O. needs to be humbled a bit much to become the effective receiver he once was. More than likely, he is probably done as a number 1 receiver for any team.

You can't be serious. You're joking right.

T.O. is well known for the work he puts in to stay in top physical condition.

Even his haters know that. I've seen these B.S. TV analyst go off on 2 minutes rants on dude downing him the whole time, but they'll be sure to interject something to the affect of " however I do respect the work he puts in off the field to ensure he's ready to play on Sunday."

WTF??? Great team. Great QB. Great coach. Galloway was expected to be a solid and productive #3 receiver on a contending team. Couldn't be MORE of a "cant-miss" situation. All he had to do was be 70% of his usual self. Only problem was he couldn't master the playbook and couldn't catch the ball. Ended up getting chewed-out on the field by his (usually quiet) QB during the game for not knowing his routes. Total bust.
