I've posted this before............
Young men and women in the hood have nothing to live for. There was a time where young folks didn't want to get into any sort of trouble for fear of missing out on education or economic opportunity.
Why should Pookie act right in school, no one in his circle of friends and family are doing well. The ones that are leave and never look back. The hustle game pays because that's all that is available in the hood. As we all know the hustle game is deadly.
We can talk gun violence and morals but if a young man doesn't have a pathway to economic freedom he will make a way for himself at the expense of the community where he lives.
Let's face it, once born into poverty it's very difficult to escape. Its the poverty that leads to violence. No matter where you go on this planet if there is poverty and little to no economic opportunity, there will be violence.

Poverty showed me I didn't want to go back. Living as hard as it was for me growing up I don't ever want to go back to living in those kind of neighborhoods where nobody around me is doing anything.
A lot of people who are poor and that's all I've seen They just get complacent. Work eat sleep repeat for the rest of your life. We are in the same train but just in different cars. I don't think I have economic freedom, I just got a lot more material stuff

Why? Is a young man looking for a pathway to freedom for anyways? ALot of men where born poor this capitalism society took off, capitilism didn't start with the viking and moors and all those other groups, pilgrims...
A man just needed some pussy and some homies, that was first, then they grow into other things with age, a woman shows maturity, a wife shows maturity and alot of men drinking themselves to death at the bar chasing hoes well in their 50s.
At the core these hood dudes aren't weird, they're men they just can fuck hoes and get women in that enviroment, they get respect from other men and at it's core that's all most men need.

I agree. The internal argument is bullshit. There is nothing innate about blackness and criminality. Black people are survivors. When placed in unsurvivable environments we adapt.
The cycle of poverty. Poor community= poor education = poor job = living in a poor community.
I ain't got 37 minutes to listen to him or anyone else's excuses about some grown ass men and women who choose to make wrong decisions and complain about those decisions after it's done.
We have choices in 2024 cause grandma and them had it hard but they worked to make things better,some of these niggas don't want to work,don't want to hustle,don't have no interest in nothing outside of the latest jordans and smoking weed,motherfucker you're 33yr old and it time for you to grow up.
So many of us are stuck in second childhood and the majority of that shit is keeping us broke and the internet is just a faster way to try to keep up with the next person.
I dress my kids nice but your oldest son is in the 6th grade but can't read past a 3rd grade reading level them Jordans on his feet ain't going to help him unless he plays like him on that court.
