I've said this many many times, for whatever reason;the fantasy genre always gets the short stick compare to science fiction.

It seems like they're trying to make every single fantasy show like Game of Thrones without the mystical elements. These TV executives always make excuses on why they can't have magic in them. And,when they do have magic it looks shitty ass fuck....

I agree with Sanderson especially about Rings of Power. I saw one episode and never seen it again. The main character is boring and not likable at all.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep
2025

6/10

This film debuted last month on Netflix and I watched it this afternoon at home.

It’s a spin-off series from Netflix’s flagship series “The Witcher”. I looked it up and it takes place during season 1, between episodes 5 and 6.

The film is focused on the war between Humans and Merpeople.

It proceeds at a good pace with enough action to keep you interested. It’s not a slo-burn like the regular series.

Some characters from the regular series cameo and new characters are introduced.

Overall, it’s an entertaining movie. It plays out as a stand alone, but does connect to the other Witcher content mainly to expand the universe.

Synopsis

Hired to investigate seaside village attacks, mutant monster hunter Geralt unravels an age-old conflict between humans and sea people that threatens war between kingdoms.
