The prosecution and defense have called DNA experts to the witness stand in Tory Lanez’s criminal trial. Accused of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion, multiple forensic scientists concluded that there was no DNA from Lanez — born Daystar Peterson — located on the gun magazine.
Marc Scott Taylor from Technical Associates, a Forensic scientist called by the defense testified that he agreed with the findings of the LAPD testing, however, he added that they would expect a clear result on a DNA profile of the firearm after the trigger was pulled five times. Additionally, Taylor claimed the DNA mix on the gun included the profile of an unidentified woman.

I could see that, but I could also see Megan believing Tory shot her. She's drunk likely to the point of not really recalling the full events especially what lead up to her being hit. What she does recall is Tory holding the gun last after she was hit maybe she was never aware of the tussle or whatever.
Instead of standing on some dumb principle that the average criminal doesn't live by, he should have given this version of the events or outright said Kelsey did it and I emptied the clip to prevent further harm to Megan. Wasn't he offered a plea deal with far less time. I get the US being a potentially large touring market for him, but personally I'm coming home and I'll deal with that later. Worse case, build yourself on an international level and you are still eating well.
On top of that, hearing the tape of him apologizing only created more questions and gave the impression he was guilty of hurting Megan. Could he been apologizing for the entire night or fucking both of them; maybe but it leads more towards him shooting her.

Her former friend got away without even having to testified about what happened and a lot of people have said she was the one who shot Megan in the foot.
The bodyguard/Driver even said that it was Megan former friend who did it in a long letter that was posted on this thread but it never reached the court since the judge just ran with the fact Tory was guilty without giving him the chance to prove his innocence.
Also, Megan statement doesn't sound like she's telling the truth, which makes it hard to believe a person saying all that when she's sober not remembering clearly what happened because she was drunk at the time it happened..
