Okay. Not that the statement on its own is much better, but tying it to what Trump said yesterday somehow makes it worse than if she had just said it. Because she could have argued that the answer was ambiguous before that, but linking the thoughts implies that she is making a comment on "diversity".

Granted, they will obviously lie and spin this as people misinterpreting what she said. But you would think a person whose job it is to communicate to the press would be better at it (again, I know this isn't the case).
